After 4 years, the Governor’s address was read in full in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
In the previous DMK government, then Governor R.N. Ravi walked out of the House after objecting to certain words in the Governor’s address being omitted and to the national anthem not being played first.
Earlier, in 2022, Governor R.N. Ravi read the address in full. In 2023, he omitted words such as secularism, Periyar E.V.R., Ambedkar, and Karunanidhi from the address. After then Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that the speech given by the government would be entered into the House records as is, Governor Ravi walked out.
Continuing to protest that the national anthem was not sung at the beginning of the 2024, 2025, and 2026 assembly sessions, Governor Ravi walked out. The then Speaker M. Appavu read out the speech and had it entered into the House record.
In this situation, after 4 years, Tamil Nadu’s acting Governor Arlekar fully read out the speech in the first legislative assembly session of the TVK government.

தொடா்ந்து 2024, 2025, 2026-ஆண்டு கூட்டத் தொடரிலும் தொடக்கத்தில் தேசிய கீதம் பாடப்படாததற்கு எதிா்ப்பு தெரிவித்து ஆளுநா் ரவி வெளியேறினாா். அப்போதைய பேரவைத் தலைவா் மு.அப்பாவு, உரையை வாசித்து அவைக் குறிப்பில் இடம்பெறச் செய்தாா்.
இந்நிலையில், 4 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு தமிழக பொறுப்பு ஆளுநா் ஆா்லேகா் தவெக அரசின் முதல் சட்டப்பேரவைக் கூட்டத் தொடரில் உரையை முழுமையாக வாசித்தாா்.
