As the Tamil Nadu election scene heats up, the Junior Vikatan team has entered the field to gauge the public pulse. A large team comprising 539 volunteers and students, along with 54 reporters, conducted surveys in 234 constituencies. Usually, we ask voters to fill out survey forms with answers to questions. This time, the entire survey was conducted digitally. For this purpose, an app was developed with advanced technology and cyber security, which was given to the surveyors. We planned and implemented a survey to be conducted among the elderly. The survey was widely conducted among various communities within the constituency. Since the application had a geo-location feature, it was possible to verify whether the survey was conducted at the specified locations. This allowed us to obtain accurate results, which is an added advantage. A total of 400 people per constituency, across 234 constituencies, were questioned, and responses were collected from 93,600 individuals. In this survey, a total of six questions were asked, including one supplementary question. These questions and the clear answers provided by the people were compiled district-wise as well.
The weekly Junior Vidagan magazine has been published by constituency. In the Chennai Port constituency, DMK has Minister P.K. Sekar Babu, AIADMK has Rayapuram Mano, D.V.K has Sinora P.S. Ashok, and N.T.K has Ir. Fasan in the field. Although Sekar Babu is the face of the Port constituency, the competition is tighter for him compared to the last time. Ashok, who was once a member of the Rajini fan club, is now attracting votes from other parties as a Vijay party candidate. Even though the majority of Tamil-speaking voters have shifted to AIADMK, Ashok has his own personal influence in the constituency.
