பா.ஜ.கவின் கூட்டணிக் கட்சியான சிவசேனா(ஷிண்டே) 29 இடங்களில் வெற்றிபெற்று இருக்கிறது. தானே மாநகராட்சியைத் தவிர்த்து வேறு எந்த மாநகராட்சியிலும் ஆட்சியைப் பிடிக்கும் அளவுக்கு ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே தலைமையிலான சிவசேனா வெற்றி பெறவில்லை.
மும்பையில் பா.ஜ.க ஆட்சியமைக்க சிவசேனா(ஷிண்டே)வின் தயவு தேவையாக இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் கடந்த 30 ஆண்டுகளாக மும்பை மாநகராட்சி சிவசேனாவிடம்தான் இருந்திருக்கிறது.
இப்போது முதல் முறையாக பா.ஜ.க, மேயர் பதவியைக் கைப்பற்ற இருக்கிறது. சிவசேனா இரண்டாக உடைந்ததைப் பயன்படுத்தி பா.ஜ.க ஆட்சிக்கு வர இருக்கிறது. சிவசேனா(ஷிண்டே) கவுன்சிலர்கள் பா.ஜ.க அல்லது உத்தவ் தாக்கரே தலைமையிலான சிவசேனாவிற்குத் தாவும் அபாயம் இருந்து வருகிறது.
இதையடுத்து தனது கட்சி கவுன்சிலர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே ஐந்து நட்சத்திர ஹோட்டல் ஒன்றில் தங்க வைத்து இருக்கிறார். மேயர் தேர்தல் வரை அவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஹோட்டலில்தான் தங்கி இருப்பார்கள் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது.
மேலும் கவுன்சிலர்கள் அணி மாறுவதைத் தடுக்க சிவசேனா மாநகராட்சித் தலைவர் அவசர அவசரமாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட இருக்கிறார். இதற்கான ஆவணங்களைத் தயாரிக்கும் பணியும் வேகமாக நடந்து வருவதாக ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டேயிக்கு நெருக்கமான வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளன.
மூத்த கவுன்சிலர்கள் யாமினி ஜாதவ், திரிஷா விஷ்வராஜ், அமய் கோலே ஆகியோரில் ஒருவர் தலைவராகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட இருக்கிறார். அதேசமயம் சிவசேனா(ஷிண்டே) கவுன்சிலர்கள் அணி மாறும் வாய்ப்பு இருப்பதாக உத்தவ் தாக்கரே கட்சியின் எம்.பி.சஞ்சய் ராவுத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இது தொடர்பாக அவர் அளித்துள்ள பேட்டியில், ”ஷிண்டே சேனா கவுன்சிலர்களில் பலர் புதிய முகங்கள். அவர்கள் சிவசேனா தொண்டர்கள். அவர்கள் பாஜக மேயரை விரும்பவில்லை. நீங்கள் அவர்களை எவ்வளவு கட்டுப்படுத்தினாலும், பல தகவல் தொடர்பு வழிகள் உள்ளன. கடவுள் விரும்பினால், தங்கள் கட்சியைச் சேர்ந்த ஒருவர் மேயராகப் பொறுப்பேற்க முடியும்” என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
இது குறித்து ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டேயின் ஆதரவாளரான ராஜு வாக்மரே அளித்த பேட்டியில், ”உத்தவ் தாக்கரேயின் சிவசேனா தோல்வியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். நாங்கள் தேர்தலில் நேர்மையாகப் போட்டியிட்டோம். அனைத்து நடைமுறைகளும் சரியாக முடிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் விரும்புகிறோம். அதனால்தான் எங்கள் கவுன்சிலர்களை ஒதுக்குப்புறமான இடத்தில் வைத்துள்ளோம்” என்றார்.
முதல்வர் தேவேந்திர பட்னாவிஸ் வெளிநாடுச் சுற்றுப்பயணம் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். அவர் வந்த பிறகுதான் மேயர் பதவி குறித்து முடிவு செய்யப்படும். அதோடு தங்களுக்கும் 2.5 ஆண்டு மேயர் பதவி கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்று ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே கோரி வருகிறார்.

நடந்து முடிந்த மாநகராட்சித் தேர்தலில் சிவசேனா(ஷிண்டே) எதிர்பார்த்த அளவுக்கு வெற்றி பெறவில்லை. அமைச்சர் மற்றும் எம்.எல்.ஏ.க்களுக்கு ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே குறிப்பிட்ட மாவட்டத்தை ஒதுக்கி தேர்தல் பணிகளைச் செய்யும்படி கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார். ஆனால் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் திருப்தியளிக்கும் வகையில் இல்லை.
