செய்தியாளர்கள் சந்திப்பில் பேசிய அவர், “காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி தமிழ்நாட்டில் 60 வருஷமாக ஆட்சியில் இருந்தது இல்லை.
அதிக சீட், ஆட்சியில் பங்கு, அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு ஆகியவை காங்கிரஸ் தொண்டர்களின் கோரிக்கையாக இருக்கிறது.
காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியை பலப்படுத்தும் நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது. கூட்டணியை பொறுத்தவரைக்கும் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தலைமை தான் முடிவெடுக்கும்.
யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் கோரிக்கை வைக்கலாம். அதில் பிரச்னை இல்லை. ஆனால் இறுதி முடிவை தலைமை தான் எடுக்கும். விஜய்யை சந்தித்தேன். அவ்வளவு தான். அதில் சொல்வதற்கு ஒன்றும் இல்லை.

ஒருபக்கம் அதிமுக – பாமக கூட்டணி ஏற்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், திமுக கூட்டணியில் காங்கிரஸில் நிர்வாகிகள் இருவேறு நிலைப்பாட்டில் இருப்பது பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
