3 youths were injured in a shooting between two groups in Manipur.
A shooting took place on Monday between two groups in Kangpokpi district of Manipur state. Officials said 3 people were injured in the incident.
They have been identified as Kenlenmang Vaiphei (18), Lunliandaw Vaiphei (20), and Paukho Lal (18). They were immediately taken by security forces to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal for treatment.
Subsequently, additional central forces were deployed and security has been tightened in the hospital परिसर.
Officials further said that in Kangpokpi district, where the Kuki community is in the majority, armed men from two tribal communities were involved in a gunfight near Leilon Vaiphei village at around 6 a.m. on Monday.
