According to the proverb, “A clown does not become a king by going to a palace; the palace itself turns into a circus tent,” many clowns in this government are acting like the 13 jokers in rummy. Our leader criticized this as a “magical, seductive rule.” The credit for turning Tamil Nadu, which once moved forward proudly with the Dravidian model and a one-trillion-dollar economy, into a “sofa model” government today belongs to them.
The Chief Minister had gone to Tiruchi two days ago to express his gratitude. Only after I pointed it out in the Assembly did he go to Tiruchi. Generally, when a Chief Minister visits districts, it is customary to announce new schemes. But, keeping in mind the by-election campaign that is due in another six months, he did not announce any new schemes. The Chief Minister, who spoke saying, 'It sounds good when it comes out of the mouth...' always talks only about 'DMK vs TVK' whenever he speaks; there are no good schemes or words that the people need. The Chief Minister is giving himself a certificate, claiming that he did not engage in any horse-trading to form the government. The people of Tamil Nadu were watching the incident in which the Mannargudi MLA was abducted without even his party leader knowing. “Should this be called pure power or dirty power? The Chief Minister calls other parties trivial parties.
Then why did you meet those party leaders separately, drape shawls on them, send sofa sets, and take photographs? This is like helping Vadivelu set up shop by sending tender coconuts to Senthil through the back door without Goundamani knowing; today, he is luring MLAs one by one.
The Chief Minister gets angry when we criticize him for having won through charisma politics. Did he, like the late leader Kalaignar, go to jail for the anti-Hindi agitation, or did he, like our leader Stalin, endure MISA atrocities and spend a year in prison? With the party having been started only two years ago, has he ever raised his voice for state rights or against the Union BJP government?
Did he meet people across Tamil Nadu and tell them about policies just to ask for votes? He doesn’t even know the names of his own party candidates. That is why we call this “reels and glamour politics.” The new Chief Minister has a fictional fear called “phobia,” where he is always thinking only about himself.
Even though none of us criticized him for wearing a coat and suit, he himself gives a new explanation that wearing a black coat is Periyar’s ideology. Isn’t he the one who tried and failed to appoint his astrologer as an official government adviser? Is he really a true Periyarist?
The ruling party members keep trying to deflect people by continuously blaming the DMK. If the people of Tamil Nadu face any harm, the DMK and its leader will not stand by and watch. We will come to the field and fight. People who initially voted after watching reels are now enjoying seeing, through television channels, newspapers, and the live broadcast of the Assembly, how the DMK made the ruling party run away in the Assembly. This awareness among the people is the beginning of the downfall of the current rulers. The people will soon put an end to politics of glamour.
Having crossed 75 years and celebrated its platinum jubilee, the DMK has seen no victories it has not seen, and no defeats it has not faced. No matter how great the setback, it has the strength to rise again. When the Congress government imposed the Emergency in 1976, the DMK, under the legacy of Kalaignar, stood with the people and opposed the Emergency without worrying about power in Tamil Nadu. In Tamil Nadu, over the past 25 days, law and order has been completely deteriorated with murders, robberies, and sexual assaults. When this is questioned, the Chief Minister complains, “Didn’t you say to stay quiet for six months?” The six-month period is only for fulfilling promises; if you botch everyday law-and-order issues, we will not sit quietly and watch.
When the DMK came to power in 2021, our leader said, “We will provide such good governance that even those who did not vote will regret it.” But today, even those who voted for this government are in a state of regret. They said crop loans for farmers owning up to five acres of land would be waived. But today, farmers are taking to the streets and protesting. They promised 200 units of free electricity, but now they have deceived the people by saying that if more than 500 units are used, there will be no free electricity. We will not rest until the promises they threw around—monthly rights allowance of 2,500 rupees, 6 cylinders a year, sarees, gold chains—are fulfilled.
It is not possible to deceive the people by untying bundles of lies that the DMK lost only because of political conspiracy. Through television, newspapers, and live telecasts of the Assembly, the people have become aware. People have watched and enjoyed how we made the ruling party run in the Assembly. This awareness will be the beginning of the downfall of the present rulers.
Our leader has formed a committee to study the results of the recently concluded Assembly election. The members of that committee will travel throughout Tamil Nadu, examine the reasons for defeat and victory, and submit a report.
Accordingly, the leader will make good decisions in the interest of the party. The Chepauk–Triplicane constituency has, as always, demonstrated its resounding victory. In the coming times, we will achieve many times greater victories. Just as I have worked for the people for five years, I am also ready to stand with you in the field and work. இப்படிப்பட்ட ஒருவரை தமிழ்நாட்டு முதல்வராக தேர்வு செய்துவிட்டோமே என மக்கள் தலையில் அடித்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள். மக்கள் அவரை முதலமைச்சராகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துவிட்ட நிலையில், அந்த ஜனநாயக முடிவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டுதான் ஆக வேண்டும்.
ஆட்சி அமைப்பதற்குத் தான் எந்தக் குதிரை பேரமும் நடத்தவில்லை என முதலமைச்சர் தனக்குத்தானே சான்றிதழ் கொடுத்துக் கொள்கிறார். மன்னார்குடி எம்.எல்.ஏ-வை அவருடைய கட்சித் தலைவருக்கே தெரியாமல் கடத்திச் சென்ற சம்பவத்தைத் தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்கள் பார்த்துக் கொண்டுதான் இருந்தார்கள். “இதற்குப் பெயர் தூய சக்தியா அல்லது தூரசக்தியா? மற்ற கட்சிகளை முதலமைச்சர் அல்லு சில்லு கட்சிகள் என்கிறார்.
அப்படியென்றால் எதற்காக அந்தக் கட்சித் தலைவர்களைத் தனித்தனியாகச் சந்தித்துச் சால்வை அணிவித்து, சோபா செட்டுகளை அனுப்பி புகைப்படம் எடுத்தீர்கள். இது, கவுண்டமணிக்குத் தெரியாமல் பின்வாசல் வழியாக வடிவேலுவுக்குச் செந்தில் இளநீர்களை அனுப்பிக் கடை வைக்க உதவியதைப் போல, இன்று எம்.எல்.ஏ-க்களை ஒவ்வொன்றாக உருவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.

அவர் கோட் சூட் அணிவதைப் பற்றி நாங்கள் யாரும் எந்த விமர்சனமும் செய்யாத நிலையிலும், அவர் கருப்புக் கோட் அணிவது பெரியாரின் கொள்கை என்று ஒரு புதிய விளக்கத்தை அவரே கொடுத்துக்கொள்கிறார். தனது ஜோசியரை அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அரசு ஆலோசகராக நியமிக்க முயன்று தோல்வியடைந்தவர்தானே அவர். அவரா உண்மையான பெரியாரியவாதி?

75 ஆண்டுகளைக் கடந்து பவள விழா கண்ட தி.மு.க, பார்க்காத வெற்றிகளும் இல்லை, சந்திக்காத தோல்விகளும் இல்லை. எவ்வளவு பெரிய தோல்வி வந்தாலும் மீண்டும் எழுந்து வரும் வல்லமை கொண்டது. 1976-ல் காங்கிரஸ் அரசு எமர்ஜென்சியைக் கொண்டு வந்தபோது, தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஆட்சியைப் பற்றிக் கவலைப்படாமல் மக்கள் பக்கம் நின்று எமர்ஜென்சியை எதிர்த்த பாரம்பரியம் கலைஞர் வழிவந்த தி.மு.க-விற்கு உண்டு. பயம் என்பது உடன்பிறப்புகளின் ரத்தத்திலேயே கிடையாது. யார் பயந்து ஓடப்போகிறார்கள் என்பதை மக்கள் விரைவில் பார்ப்பார்கள்.
ஆட்சிப் பொறுப்பேற்று 25 நாட்களேயான நிலையில், அரசு விழாக்களில் தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்து மூன்றாவது இடத்திற்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டதையும், திருவள்ளுவருக்கு மீண்டும் காவி வண்ணம் பூசப்படுவதையும் இந்த அரசு வேடிக்கை பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. மேகதாது அணையைக் கட்டுவோம் என்று கர்நாடக முதலமைச்சர் டி.கே.சிவகுமார் சவால் விடுத்தும், அதற்கு எதிராகக் குரல் கொடுக்க துணிவில்லாமல் பயந்துபோய் நிற்கிறது இந்த அரசு. தமிழ்நாட்டில் கடந்த 25 நாட்களில் கொலை, கொள்ளை, பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைகள் எனச் சட்டம் ஒழுங்கு முற்றிலும் சீர்குலைந்துள்ளது. இதனைத் தட்டிக்கேட்டால், ‘ஆறு மாதம் சும்மா இருப்பதாகக் கூறினீர்களே’ என்று முதலமைச்சர் புலம்புகிறார். வாக்குறுதிகளை நிறைவேற்றத்தான் ஆறு மாத அவகாசமே தவிர, அன்றாடச் சட்டம் ஒழுங்குப் பிரச்சினைகளில் சொதப்பினால் நாங்கள் அமைதியாக வேடிக்கை பார்க்க மாட்டோம்.
கடந்த 2021-ல் தி.மு.க ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தபோது, ‘வாக்களிக்காத மக்களும் வருத்தப்படும் அளவிற்கு நல்லாட்சி தருவோம்’ என்று நம் தலைவர் கூறினார். ஆனால் இன்று, இந்த அரசுக்கு ஓட்டுப் போட்டவர்களே வருந்தும் நிலைதான் உள்ளது. ஐந்து ஏக்கர் வரை நிலம் வைத்துள்ள விவசாயிகளின் பயிர்க்கடன்கள் தள்ளுபடி செய்யப்படும் என்றார்கள். ஆனால் இன்று விவசாயிகள் தெருவில் இறங்கிப் போராடுகிறார்கள். 200 யூனிட் இலவச மின்சாரம் தருவதாகக் கூறிவிட்டு, தற்போது 500 யூனிட்டிற்கு மேல் பயன்படுத்தினால் இலவசம் கிடையாது என்று மக்களை ஏமாற்றிவிட்டார்கள். மாதந்தோறும் 2,500 ரூபாய் உரிமைத் தொகை, ஆண்டுக்கு 6 சிலிண்டர்கள், புடவை, தங்கச் சங்கிலி என அள்ளி வீசப்பட்ட வாக்குறுதிகள் நிறைவேற்றப்படும் வரை நாங்கள் ஓயப்போவதில்லை.
அரசியல் சதியால்தான் தி.முக. தோற்றது என்று பொய் மூட்டைகளை அவிழ்த்துவிட்டு மக்களை ஏமாற்ற முடியாது. தொலைக்காட்சி, நாளிதழ்கள் மற்றும் சட்டமன்ற நேரடி ஒளிபரப்பு மூலம் மக்கள் விழிப்புணர்வு அடைந்துவிட்டார்கள். சட்டமன்றத்தில் ஆளுங்கட்சியை நாம் எப்படி ஓடவிட்டோம் என்பதை மக்கள் பார்த்து ரசித்துள்ளார்கள். இந்த விழிப்புணர்வுதான் தற்போதைய ஆட்சியாளர்களின் வீழ்ச்சிக்குத் தொடக்கமாக அமையும்.
நடந்து முடிந்த சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் குறித்து ஆய்வு செய்ய நம்முடைய தலைவர் ஒரு குழுவை அமைத்துள்ளார். அக்குழுவினர் தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் சுற்றுப்பயணம் செய்து தோல்வி மற்றும் வெற்றிக்கான காரணங்களை ஆராய்ந்து அறிக்கை அளிப்பார்கள்.
அதன் அடிப்படையில் கழகத்தின் நலன் கருதி தலைவர் நல்ல முடிவுகளை எடுப்பார். சேப்பாக்கம் – திருவல்லிக்கேணி தொகுதி எப்போதும் போலத் தன் தாராள வெற்றியை நிரூபித்துள்ளது. வரும் காலங்களில் இன்னும் பல மடங்கு பெரிய வெற்றிகளை நாம் குவிப்போம். ஐந்து ஆண்டுகள் மக்களுக்காக உழைத்ததைப் போல நானும் உங்களோடு களத்தில் நின்று உழைக்கத் தயாராக இருக்கிறேன். மீண்டும் ‘முத்துவேல் கருணாநிதி ஸ்டாலின் எனும் நான்…’ என்று நம் தலைவர் முதலமைச்சராகப் பொறுப்பேற்கும் நாள் தொலைவில் இல்லை.” எனக் குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறார்.
