As the NEET re-examination is set to be held, the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has ordered a temporary ban on the Telegram app to prevent question paper leaks.
Following confirmation that irregularities took place in the NEET exam held on May 3, it was cancelled.
The National Testing Agency had announced that the NEET re-examination would be held on June 21. The central government is taking various precautionary measures to avoid any irregularities in it.
In this situation, after it was found that the question paper had leaked via Telegram ahead of the NEET exam held on May 3, restrictions have now been imposed on the app.
In this regard, the National Testing Agency said in a statement it has issued:
“After the NEET exam, evidence of the question paper leak was moved on the Telegram app. Taking into account its technology, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued an order under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Accordingly, restrictions have been imposed on using Telegram across the country until June 22, when the NEET re-exam concludes. After that, the platform has been ordered to disable the message-editing feature for messages already sent until June 30, 2026,” it has been stated.

இந்த நிலையில், மே 3 ஆம் தேதி நடைபெற்ற நீட் தேர்வுக்கு முன்னதாக டெலிகிராம் மூலம் வினாத்தாள் கசிந்தது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், அந்த செயலிக்கு தற்போது கட்டுப்பாடு விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இதுதொடர்பாக தேசிய தேர்வு முகமை வெளியிட்டிருக்கும் அறிக்கையில் தெரிவித்திருப்பதாவது:
