The Madras High Court dismissed a petition seeking a directive to the Central government to frame permanent guidelines for conducting the NEET examination in a fair and transparent manner.
In the petition filed by Venkateswaran in the Madras High Court, the NEET examination for undergraduate medical courses across the country was held on May 3. However, due to a question paper leak, the National Testing Agency, which cancelled the examination, has announced that a re-examination will be held on June 21. Fifteen people have been arrested in connection with the NEET question paper leak.
In this situation, the Central Government has imposed a ban on the Telegram app in India until the 22nd to prevent irregularities in the NEET re-examination. Therefore, it had been stated that the Central Government should be directed to formulate standard guidelines to conduct the NEET examination fairly and transparently.
This case came up for hearing on Thursday before a bench comprising Chief Justice S.A. Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arulmurugan. Hearing the case, the judges noted that the Supreme Court had already directed the Central government in 2024 to frame guidelines related to the NEET examination. A case has also already been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the question paper leak that has now occurred.
In that case, the Supreme Court, which had directed the Central government and the National Testing Agency to respond, has adjourned the hearing to July. Therefore, they ordered that this case be dismissed.

இந்த வழக்கு தலைமை நீதிபதி எஸ்.ஏ.தா்மாதிகாரி, நீதிபதி ஜி.அருள்முருகன் ஆகியோா் அடங்கிய அமா்வில் வியாழக்கிழமை விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. வழக்கை விசாரித்த நீதிபதிகள், உச்சநீதிமன்றம் கடந்த 2024-ஆம் ஆண்டே நீட் தோ்வு தொடா்பான வழிகாட்டு நெறிமுறைகளை வகுக்க வேண்டுமென மத்திய அரசுக்கு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. தற்போது நடந்த வினாத்தாள் கசிவு குறித்தும் உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தில் ஏற்கெனவே வழக்குத் தொடரப்பட்டுள்ளது.
அந்த வழக்கில், மத்திய அரசும், தேசிய தோ்வு முகமையும் பதிலளிக்க உத்தரவிட்ட உச்சநீதிமன்றம் விசாரணையை ஜூலை மாதத்துக்கு ஒத்திவைத்துள்ளது. எனவே, இந்த வழக்கை தள்ளுபடி செய்வதாகக் கூறி உத்தரவிட்டனா்.
