புதுச்சேரி 2021 சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தலில் என்.ஆர்.காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியுடன் கூட்டணி அமைத்து வெற்றிபெற்ற பா.ஜ.க, முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி தலைமையிலான அமைச்சரவையிலும் பங்கெடுத்தது.
அடுத்து வந்த 2024 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தல் வரை பா.ஜ.க-வுடன் இணக்கமாக இருந்த முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி, அதன்பிறகு `கோதாவரி கோட்டைக் கிழி… நீங்க நல்லா இருக்கீங்களா, நாங்களும் நல்லா இருக்கோம்…’ என்ற ரீதியில் இடைவெளியை கடைப்பிடிக்க ஆரம்பித்தார்.
அதற்குக் காரணம் ஆளுநர் மூலம் `செக்’ வைக்கும் பா.ஜ.க ஃபார்முலா. நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தல் முடிந்த உடனேயே முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமியிடம் சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலுக்கான கூட்டணிப் பேச்சுவார்த்தையை தொடங்க முயற்சித்தது பா.ஜ.க. ஆனால் அதற்கு சிறிதும் பிடி கொடுக்காமல் பா.ஜ.க தரப்பை இழுத்தடித்து வந்தார் ரங்கசாமி.
எப்படியாவது கூட்டணியை இறுதி செய்துவிட வேண்டும் என்று கடந்த ஆண்டு இறுதியில் புதுச்சேரிக்கு படையெடுத்த மத்திய அமைச்சர்களை, `கோதாவரி’ பாணியிலேயே டீல் செய்தார் முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி.
அதன்பிறகு கடந்த பிப்ரவரி மாதம் காரைக்கால் வந்த மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சர் அமித்ஷாவை சந்தித்துவிட்டு வெளியே வந்த முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி அங்கிருந்த செய்தியாளர்களிடம், `தேசிய ஜனநாயகக் கூட்டணியில் தொடர்கிறோம்’ என்று கூறிவிட்டுச் சென்றார்.
அதையடுத்து புதுச்சேரியில் நடைபெற்ற என்.டி.ஏ கூட்டணி ஆலோசனைக் கூட்டத்திற்குப் பிறகு செய்தியாளர்களைச் சந்தித்த பா.ஜ.க-வின் மேலிடப் பொறுப்பாளர் நிர்மல்குமார் சுரானா, `எங்கள் கூட்டணியில் முக்கியமான கட்சி என்.ஆர்.காங்கிரஸ்தான். அதேசமயம், இன்னும் சில கட்சிகளை ஒருங்கிணைத்து தேர்தலை சந்திக்க இருக்கிறோம்.

அடுத்த தேர்தலே வந்துவிட்டது. மக்களை நாம் எப்படி எதிர்கொள்வது ? அவர்களுக்கு `லாட்டரி’ மார்ட்டின் குரூப் முக்கியம் என்றால் நாம் தனித்துப் போட்டியிடுவோம்’ என்று புலம்பித் தீர்த்திருக்கிறார்.
அதையடுத்து இரவோடு இரவாக தனியார் விடுதியில் காத்திருந்த பா.ஜ.க-வினரை சந்தித்த என்.ஆர்.காங்கிரஸ் நிர்வாகிகள், முதல்வரின் கருத்தைக் கூறினார்கள்.
