Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today (June 14) that innovations are embedded in India’s very DNA.
The Prime Minister made this remark while inaugurating the three-day Bharat Innovates event in France.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed yesterday (June 13) on a week-long official visit to the European countries of France and Slovakia. As the first stop of this trip, Prime Minister Modi arrived in the city of Nice in France and met and held talks with that country’s President Emmanuel Macron today (June 14).
As part of the India-France Innovation Year, President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated a three-day event called Bharat Innovates, showcasing the technological initiatives of Indian higher education institutions and centrally aided higher technical institutions.
Prime Minister Modi said at the event:
“Innovation is embedded in India’s very DNA. Even a thousand years ago, it guided the world through its vast wisdom. From medicine to yoga, the country has played a significant role in contributing to humanity. Building technology on such a rich heritage, we are providing a new direction and momentum.
India has been giving priority to technology that serves humanity. This policy is what is leading us toward the digital revolution. It also forms the foundation of India’s digital infrastructure. It creates the vision that artificial intelligence is for everyone. “It is dedicated to the happiness and well-being of all,” said Prime Minister Modi.
The Bharat Innovates event, the central event of the India-France Innovation Year, will be held from June 14 to 16. Through this event, 120 Indians who have made technological innovations have been selected for the global market.
15 higher education institutions, including India’s leading technical education institutions, and more than 500 investors ranging from venture capital firms to global industry leaders participated in this event.
