Prohibition and Excise Minister Vignesh, who has been appointed as the minister in charge of Dindigul district, arrived in Dindigul the night before last and stayed at a private hotel.
To meet him, more than 300 party workers, including women, from the town and union areas belonging to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam had come to the hotel where the minister was staying.
After the last assembly election, Dindigul constituency candidate Naseer Raja and Dindigul East district secretary Dharma had been working as two separate factions. The opposing side alleged that Dindigul East district secretary Dharma was allowing only his supporters inside to meet the minister.
As a result, a heated argument broke out between those who had come to see the minister and the East district office-bearers and his supporters. Following this, inside the hotel itself, supporters from the faction of Dindigul constituency TVK candidate Naseer Raja, who had come to meet the minister, raised slogans condemning the East district office-bearers.
In this, they staged a protest, shouting slogans such as, “Replace the district secretary who laid hands on us,” and “Remove the district secretary who spoke slanderously.” The police pacified them by saying they would arrange for them to meet the minister.
Later in the evening, a review meeting was held with officials. In this review meeting, chaired by District Collector Durgamoorthy, Dindigul MP R. Sachithanantham, Karur MP Jothimani, Nilakottai MLA Ayyanar, District SP Pradeep, and other officials were seated in the row, and space had also been allotted to TVK district secretary Dharmavum.
Among the officials, there were discussions about on what basis the district secretary was seated in a meeting that only public representatives and officials could attend.
In this regard, photographs went viral on social media. Even during the previous regime, apart from public representatives, no one in the party had attended review meetings; but now, criticism was posted on social media that the review meeting itself is being conducted like a party event of T.V.K. It was also said that this is a wrong precedent.
Regarding this matter, we asked the Dindigul East district secretary of TVK, Dharma, for an explanation. He said, “When I went with the minister to the review meeting, I was standing. Someone came and told me that a chair was empty and asked me to sit. I did not sit for even five minutes. I immediately got up and went to sit in the back. I was not even at the meeting the whole time... I left halfway through. I do not know about the workers chanting slogans against me; I will look into it.”

இதனால் அமைச்சரைப் பார்க்க வந்தவர்களுக்கும், கிழக்கு மாவட்ட நிர்வாகிகள் மற்றும் அவரது ஆதரவாளர்களுக்கும் இடையே கடுமையான வாக்குவாதம் ஏற்பட்டது. இதனையடுத்து ஹோட்டல் உள்ளேயே அமைச்சரைப் பார்க்க வந்த திண்டுக்கல் தொகுதி த.வெ.க வேட்பாளர் நசீர் ராஜா பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த தொண்டர்கள் கிழக்கு மாவட்ட நிர்வாகிகளைக் கண்டித்து கோஷங்கள் எழுப்பினர்.
இதில், `எங்கள்மீது கை வைத்த மாவட்டச் செயலாளரை மாற்ற வேண்டும்’ என்றும், `அவதூறாகப் பேசிய மாவட்டச் செயலாளரை மாற்று’ என கோஷங்கள் எழுப்பி ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். காவல்துறையினர் அமைச்சரைப் பார்க்க ஏற்பாடு செய்வதாக கூறி, சமதானப்படுத்தினர்
தொடர்ந்து மாலையில் அதிகாரிகளுடன் ஆய்வுக் கூட்டம் நடந்தது. மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர் துர்காமூர்த்தி தலைமை வகித்த இந்த ஆய்வுக் கூட்டத்தில், திண்டுக்கல் எம்.பி., ஆர்.சச்சிதானந்தம், கரூர் எம்.பி., ஜோதிமணி, நிலகோட்டை எம்.எல்.ஏ அய்யனார், மாவட்ட எஸ்.பி., பிரதீப் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள் உள்ளிட்டோர் அமர்ந்திருந்த வரிசையில், தவெக மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் தர்மாவிற்கும் இடம் அளிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
மக்கள் பிரதிநிதிகள் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள் மட்டுமே பங்கேற்கக்கூடிய கூட்டத்தில் எந்த அடிப்படையில் மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் அமர்ந்திருந்தார் என்ற பேச்சுகள் கூட்டத்திற்குள் இருந்த அதிகாரிகளிடையே எழுந்தது.
இது தொடர்பாக புகைப்படங்கள் சமூக வலைதளங்களில் வைரலாகப் பரவியது. முந்தைய ஆட்சியில்கூட மக்கள் பிரதிநிதிகளைத் தவிர கட்சியில் இருந்த யாரும் ஆய்வுக் கூட்டங்களில் கலந்து கொண்டதில்லை; ஆனால் இப்போது ஆய்வுக் கூட்டமே த.வெ.க-வின் கட்சி நிகழ்ச்சி போல் தான் நடக்கிறது என்ற விமர்சனங்கள் சமூக வலைதளங்களில் வைக்கப்பட்டது. மேலும் இது தவறான முன்னுதாரணம் எனவும் பேச்சுகள் எழுந்தது.
இந்த விவகாரம் குறித்து த.வெ.க -வின் திண்டுக்கல் கிழக்கு மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் தர்மாவிடம் விளக்கம் கேட்டோம், “ஆய்வுக் கூட்டத்திற்கு அமைச்சருடன் செல்லும்போது நான் நின்று தான் இருந்தேன். யாரோ ஒருவர் வந்து சேர் காலியாக இருக்கிறது அமருங்கள் எனச் சொன்னார். நான் ஐந்து நிமிடங்கள்கூட அமரவில்லை. உடனே எழுந்து பின்புறம் சென்று அமர்ந்து கொண்டேன். கூட்டத்தில் நான் முழுவதுமாகக்கூட இல்லை… பாதியிலேயே வந்துவிட்டேன். என்னை எதிர்த்து தொண்டர்கள் கோஷமிட்டது பற்றி எனக்கு தெரியாது அதை விசாரிக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
