But their recent speeches and writings show that the DMK members are unable to accept the verdict given by the people of Tamil Nadu on May 4. In a democratic country, victory and defeat in electoral politics are natural. If you win an election, you must provide good governance throughout the entire term.
It is strange to talk about the DMK coalition
It is strange beyond strange for the DMK, which comes to power with the support of alliance parties and then refuses to share governing authority with them, to speak about coalition governance. Before the Assembly election, in a program conducted by a private television channel, DMK leader Thiru M.K. Stalin said, "Coalition government will not suit Tamil Nadu." Such words would not come from the leader of any party that believes in democracy.
But now, the T.V.K., which has won in 108 constituencies, has given two ministerial posts to the Congress, which has five MLAs. It has allotted one ministerial post each to the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and the Indian Union Muslim League, both of which have two MLAs each. If the two Communist parties had also wished to join the cabinet, they too would have received one ministerial post each. Sharing power with the parties that helped form the government is true federalism. That is what the Honorable Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has demonstrated in action.
This is the duty of the Congress, which holds secularism as its lifeblood!
To prevent the T.V.K. from forming the government, the BJP hatched a conspiracy to form a government under the leadership of A.I.A.D.M.K. General Secretary Mr. Edappadi Palaniswami. The DMK leadership also agreed to it. However, since the secular forces in the DMK alliance stood firm and opposed it, the BJP’s conspiracy was nipped in the bud. To prevent the BJP from trying to rule Tamil Nadu indirectly, the Congress, which is steadfast in secular principles, extended its support for the T.V.K. to form the government. This is also the duty of the Congress, which holds secularism as its lifeblood.
For this, the DMK has been excessively criticizing both the Congress party and Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the only national leader in India who is firmly opposing the country’s only reliable, communal, fascist BJP. DMK’s official newspaper, “Murasoli,” keeps hurling words every day, saying things like he has betrayed them and dug a pit while standing right beside them.
DMK members are using vulgar words...
DMK members are still using all sorts of filthy, vulgar words. We too can speak with harsher, uglier words than DMK members. We can write them too. We can hurl abuse at the DMK even more than those scribbling in Murasoli. But we are a grown party; the leaders who nurtured us have taught us to face political opponents with civility. We do not wish to cross that line of decency. From now on, we must identify the reasons, correct them, and begin efforts to win the next election. That should be the purpose of a political party that works for the welfare of the people.
In the recently concluded legislative assembly election, within 27 months of starting the party, winning 108 seats has made the “Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam” turn the attention of all India toward it. The verdict of the people of Tamil Nadu is that TVK leader Mr. Joseph Vijay should become Chief Minister. With 10 seats short of forming a government, TVK could have easily formed one with the support of the AIADMK, which won 43 seats. However, TVK has formed the government with the support of the Congress, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India, and Indian Union Muslim League, which contested as part of the DMK-led “Secular Progressive Alliance.” This shows the firm stance that the Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Joseph Vijay holds on the principles of democracy, social justice, secularism, and state rights. Where Congress and the Communists are present, the BJP will not be there, either directly or indirectly. There will be no room for communalism.
It was only because of the four-cornered contest that the DMK won.
No danger will come to secularism. The Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Joseph Vijay has understood that state rights will be protected. It is the Congress party’s duty to stand by the TVK, which is firmly committed to secular principles. It is precisely for doing this that DMK members have been abusing the Congress party and Congress leaders beyond all limits. Having won through the hard work of DMK workers, they are now sharply criticizing Congress, saying that it supported the TVK in forming the government.
Just as it is true that Congress won thanks to the DMK, it is equally true that the DMK won thanks to Congress. In 1967, it was the Swatantra Party of the great scholar Rajaji, who had left Congress; in 1971, it was Congress under Mother Indira Gandhi; in 1996, it was the Tamil Maanila Congress started by Mr. G.K. Moopanar after breaking away from Congress; and in 2006 and 2021, it was Congress in one form or another. In all these instances, the DMK formed the government thanks to Congress. Even in 1989, the DMK did not win on its own strength. The DMK won only because of a four-cornered contest involving the two factions of the split AIADMK after MGR's death and Congress.
They will say "goodbye" to the DMK
DMK, which cannot win even a single election without an alliance, has never once shared governing power with its alliance partners. In 2006, DMK did not even touch 100 seats. It formed the government only with Congress’s support, yet DMK did not have the heart to give Congress a place in the cabinet. If the DMK members’ excesses continue, we too will have to cross the line. We will not hesitate to retaliate against them in the same way DMK does. We request them not to push us to that point.
Instead of focusing on how to criticize the Congress party, the DMK should fully identify the real reasons for its election defeat. First, find out why minority communities and Scheduled Caste communities did not vote for the DMK. If, instead of that, it keeps blaming alliance parties and continuing with crude criticism, the DMK will end up in a situation where it can never come to power again. Minority communities and Scheduled Caste communities will permanently say “goodbye” to the DMK. Therefore, accepting the people’s verdict, the DMK should continue its work as a strong opposition party. Otherwise, it may not even get opposition status in the future. Those who forget themselves in politics and act arrogantly cannot escape the punishment given by the people,” they criticized the DMK.

தி.மு.க. கூட்டாட்சி பற்றி பேசுவது விந்தையாக உள்ளது
கூட்டணி கட்சிகளின் தயவில் வென்று ஆட்சி அமைத்துவிட்டு, கூட்டணி கட்சிகளுக்கு ஆட்சி அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு தர மறுக்கும், தி.மு.க. கூட்டாட்சி பற்றி பேசுவது விந்தையிலும் விந்தையாக உள்ளது. சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலுக்கு முன்பாக தனியார் தொலைக்காட்சி நடத்திய நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய தி.மு.க., தலைவர் திரு மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள், “கூட்டணி ஆட்சி என்பது தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு சரிபட்டு வராது” என்றார். ஜனநாயகத்தின் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட எந்த ஒரு கட்சியின் தலைவரிடம் இருந்தும் இது போன்ற வார்த்தைகள் வராது.
ஆனால், இப்போது 108 இடங்களில் வென்றுள்ள த.வெ.க, ஐந்து சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களை கொண்டுள்ள காங்கிரசுக்கு இரண்டு அமைச்சர் பதவிகளை தந்துள்ளது. தலா இரண்டு சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களை கொண்டுள்ள விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி, இந்திய யூனியன் முஸ்லிம் லீக் கட்சிகளுக்கு தலா ஒரு அமைச்சர் பதவியை வழங்கியுள்ளது. இரு கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சிகளும் அமைச்சரவையில் சேர விரும்பியிருந்தால் அவர்களுக்கும் தலா ஒரு அமைச்சர் பதவி கிடைத்திருக்கும். இப்படி ஆட்சி அமைக்க உதவிய கட்சிகளுக்கும், ஆட்சி அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு தருவது தான் உண்மையான கூட்டாட்சி. அதை தான் மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் ஜோசப் விஜய் அவர்கள் செயலில் காட்டியிருக்கிறார்.
மதச்சார்பின்மையை உயிர்மூச்சாக கொண்டுள்ள காங்கிரசின் கடமை இது!
த.வெ.க. ஆட்சி அமைப்பதை தடுக்க, அ.தி.மு.க. பொதுச்செயலாளர் திரு. எடப்பாடி பழனிசாமி தலைமையில் ஆட்சி அமைக்க பா.ஜ.க. சதித் திட்டம் தீட்டியது. அதற்கு தி.மு.க. தலைமையும் உடன்பட்டது. ஆனால், தி.மு.க. கூட்டணியில் இருந்த மதச்சார்பற்ற சக்திகள் உறுதியுடன் நின்று எதிர்த்ததால் பா.ஜ.க.வின் சதித் திட்டம் முளையிலேயே கிள்ளி எறியப்பட்டது. தமிழ்நாட்டை மறைமுகமாக ஆள பா.ஜ.க. முயற்சிப்பதை தடுக்க, மதச்சார்பற்ற கொள்கையில் உறுதியாக உள்ள காங்கிரஸ் த.வெ.க. ஆட்சி அமைக்க காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவு அளித்தது. இது மதச்சார்பின்மையை உயிர்மூச்சாக கொண்டுள்ள காங்கிரசின் கடமையும்கூட.
இதற்காக காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியையும், இந்தியாவின் ஒரே நம்பிக்கையான, மதவெறி கொண்ட பாசிச பாஜகவை உறுதியுடன் எதிர்க்கும் வலிமை கொண்ட ஒரே தேசிய தலைவரான திரு ராகுல் காந்தி அவர்களையும் தி.மு.க. வரம்பு மீறி விமர்சித்து வருகிறது. துரோகம் செய்துவிட்டார், கூட இருந்தே குழி பறித்து விட்டார் என்றெல்லாம் தி.மு.க.வின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ நாளிதழான “முரசொலி” தினந்தோறும் வார்த்தைகளை அள்ளி வீசுகிறது.
கொச்சையான வார்த்தைகளை தி.மு.க.வினர் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர்…
இன்னும் பல மோசமான, கொச்சையான வார்த்தைகளை எல்லாம் தி.மு.க.வினர் பயன்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். தி.மு.க.வினரை விடவும் கடுமையான, மோசமான வார்த்தைகளால் எங்களாலும் பேச முடியும். எழுத முடியும். முரசொலியில் கிறுக்குபவர்களை விடவும் எங்களால் திமுகவை நோக்கி வசை சொற்களை வீச முடியும். ஆனால், நாங்கள் வளர்ந்த கட்சி, எங்களை வளர்த்த தலைவர்கள் அரசியல் எதிரிகளை நாகரிமாக எதிர்கொள்ள கற்றுத் தந்திருக்கிறார்கள். அந்த நாகரிக எல்லையைத் தாண்ட நாங்கள் விரும்பவில்லை. இனியும் காரணங்களை கண்டறிந்து, சரி செய்து அடுத்த தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெறுவதற்கான முயற்சிகளில் இறங்க வேண்டும். இதுதான் மக்கள் நலனுக்காக இயங்கும் அரசியல் கட்சியின் நோக்கமாக இருக்கும்.
நடந்து முடிந்த சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில், கட்சி தொடங்கிய 27 மாதங்களில் 108 இடங்களில் வென்று “தமிழக வெற்றிக் கழகம்” ஒட்டுமொத்த இந்தியாவையும் திரும்பிப் பார்க்க வைத்துள்ளது. த.வெ.க. தலைவர் திரு. ஜோசப் விஜய் முதலமைச்சராக வேண்டும் என்பதுதான் தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்களின் தீர்ப்பு. ஆட்சி அமைக்க 10 இடங்கள் குறைவாக இருந்த நிலையில், 43 இடங்களில் வென்ற அ.தி.மு.க. ஆதரவுடன் த.வெ.க. எளிதாக ஆட்சி அமைத்திருக்க முடியும். ஆனால், தி.மு.க. தலைமையிலான, “மதச்சார்பற்ற முற்போக்கு கூட்டணி”யில் போட்டியிட்ட காங்கிரஸ், விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி, மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி, இந்திய கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி, இந்திய யூனியன் முஸ்லிம் லீக் ஆகியவற்றின் ஆதரவோடு த.வெ.க. ஆட்சி அமைத்துள்ளது. இது, ஜனநாயகம், சமூக நீதி, மதச்சார்பின்மை, மாநில உரிமைகள் ஆகிய கொள்கைகளில், மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் திரு. ஜோசப் விஜய் அவர்களுக்கு, இருக்கும் உறுதியான நிலைப்பாட்டை காட்டுகிறது. காங்கிரசும், கம்யூனிஸ்ட்களும் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் நேரடியாகவோ, மறைமுகமாகவோ பாஜக இருக்காது. மதவாதத்திற்கு இடமிருக்காது.

மதச்சார்பின்மைக்கு எந்த ஆபத்தும் நேராது. மாநில உரிமைகள் பாதுகாக்கப்படும் என்பதை மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் திரு. ஜோசப் விஜய் அவர்கள் புரிந்து கொண்டுள்ளார். மதச்சார்பற்ற கொள்கையில் உறுதியாக இருக்கும் த.வெ.க.வுக்கு துணை நிற்பது காங்கிரஸின் கடமை. இதை செய்ததற்காகத்தான் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியையும், காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர்களையும் தி.மு.க.வினர் எல்லை மீறி வசைபாடி வருகின்றனர். தி.மு.க. தொண்டர்களின் உழைப்பால் வென்று விட்டு, த.வெ.க. ஆட்சி அமைக்க காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவளித்து விட்டதாக திமுகவினர் சுடு சொற்களால் விமர்சித்து வருகின்றனர்.
தி.மு.க. தயவால் காங்கிரஸ் வெற்றி பெற்றது என்பது எந்த அளவுக்கு உண்மையோ, அந்த அளவுக்கு, காங்கிரஸ் தயவால் தி.மு.க. வெற்றி பெற்றது என்பதும் உண்மை. 1967-ல் காங்கிரசில் இருந்து வெளியேறிய மூதறிஞர் இராஜாஜியின் சுதந்திரா கட்சி, 1971-ல் அன்னை இந்திரா காந்தி தலைமையிலான காங்கிரஸ், 1996-ல் காங்கிரஸில் இருந்து வெளியேறி திரு. ஜி.கே.மூப்பனார் தொடங்கிய தமிழ் மாநில காங்கிரஸ், 2006, 2021-ல் காங்கிரஸ் என ஏதோ ஒரு வகையில் காங்கிரஸ் தயவில் தான், தி.மு.க., ஆட்சி அமைத்தது. 1989-ல் கூட தி.மு.க. தனி செல்வாக்கில் வெல்லவில்லை. எம்ஜிஆர் மறைவுக்குப் பிறகு பிளவுபட்ட அ.தி.மு.க.வின் இரு அணிகள், காங்கிரஸ் என நான்கு முனை போட்டியால் தான் தி.மு.க. வென்றது.
தி.மு.க.வுக்கு “குட்பை” சொல்லிவிடுவார்கள்
ஒரு தேர்தலில் கூட கூட்டணி இல்லாமல் வெல்ல முடியாத தி.மு.க. ஒருமுறை கூட கூட்டணி கட்சிகளுக்கு ஆட்சி அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு கொடுத்தது இல்லை. 2006-ல் 100 இடங்களைக் கூட தி.மு.க. தொடவில்லை. காங்கிரஸ் தயவில்தான் ஆட்சி அமைத்தது ஆனாலும், காங்கிரசுக்கு அமைச்சரவையில் இடம் கொடுக்க தி.மு.க.வுக்கு மனம் தி.மு.க.வினரின் வரம்பு மீறல் தொடர்ந்தால், நாங்களும் வரம்பு மீற வேண்டியிருக்கும். தி.மு.க.வின் வழியிலேயே அவர்களுக்கு பதிலடி கொடுக்க தயங்க மாட்டோம். அந்த நிலைக்கு எங்களை தள்ள வேண்டாம் என்று கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.
காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியை எப்படி விமர்சிக்கலாம் என்பதை விட்டு விட்டு, தேர்தல் தோல்விக்கான உண்மையான காரணங்களை தி.மு.க. முழுமையாக கண்டறிய வேண்டும். சிறுபான்மை மக்களும், பட்டியலின மக்களும் ஏன் தி.மு.க.வுக்கு வாக்களிக்கவில்லை என்பதை முதலில் கண்டறியுங்கள். அதை விட்டுவிட்டு கூட்டணி கட்சிகள் மீது பழி சுமத்தி, கொச்சையாக விமர்சித்துக் கொண்டே இருந்தால் தி.மு.க. இனி எப்போதுமே ஆட்சிக்கு வர முடியாத நிலை ஏற்படும். சிறுபான்மை மக்களும், பட்டியலின மக்களும் நிரந்தரமாக தி.மு.க.வுக்கு “குட்பை” சொல்லிவிடுவார்கள். எனவே மக்கள் தீர்ப்பை ஏற்று, சிறந்த எதிர்க்கட்சியாக தி.மு.க. தனது பணியை தொடர வேண்டும். இல்லையெனில் இனி, எதிர்க்கட்சி அந்தஸ்து கூட கிடைக்காது. அரசியலில் தன்னிலை மறந்து, தலைகனத்துடன் ஆட்டம் போடுபவர்கள் மக்கள் தரும் தண்டனையில் இருந்து தப்ப முடியாது” என்று திமுகவை சாடியிருக்கின்றனர்.
