The Tamil Nadu Congress has urged the DMK to identify the real reasons for its election defeat.
In this regard, a joint statement issued by Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Congress Legislature Party leader and Tamil Nadu Tourism Minister C. Rajeshkumar, and Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan said:
In the Assembly election, the TVK won 108 seats. With 10 seats short of forming the government, TVK could have easily formed a government with the support of the AIADMK, which won 43 seats. However, TVK formed the government with the support of Congress, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal, Marxist, Indian Communist, and Indian Union Muslim League, which contested as part of the DMK alliance.
This shows Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s firm stance on the principles of democracy, social justice, secularism, and state rights.
It is the Congress party’s duty to stand by TVK, which is steadfast in its secular ideology. It is precisely because Congress did this that DMK members have been hurling abusive insults at the Congress party and Congress leaders, crossing all limits.
DMK members have been criticizing Congress, saying that after winning through the hard work of DMK workers, Congress has supported TVK in forming the government. Just as it is true that Congress won with DMK’s support, it is equally true that DMK won with Congress’s support.
In the political history of Tamil Nadu, the DMK formed a government in one way or another only with the support of the Congress. The DMK, which has never been able to win even a single election without an alliance, has never once given alliance partners a share in governance or power.
In 2006, the DMK did not even touch 100 seats. It formed the government only with the support of the Congress. Even then, the DMK was unwilling to give the Congress a place in the cabinet.
It is strange beyond words that the DMK, which wins with the support of alliance partners, forms a government, and then refuses to share governance and power with those partners, speaks about federalism.
True federalism is to share power and governance with the parties that helped form the government. Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has demonstrated this in action.
Because the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi supported the TVK government, the DMK has been crossing the line and criticizing them with offensive words. If DMK members continue to overstep their limits, we too will have to do the same. We will not hesitate to retaliate in the same way as the DMK. Do not push us to that point.

If they keep ignoring that and instead blaming coalition parties and criticizing them in a crude manner, the DMK will end up in a situation where it can never come to power again, it said.

தோ்தல் தோல்விக்கான உண்மையான காரணங்களை திமுக கண்டறிய வேண்டும் என்று தமிழக காங்கிரஸ் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளது.

திமுக தொண்டா்களின் உழைப்பால் வென்றுவிட்டு, தவெக ஆட்சியமைக்க காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவளித்து விட்டதாக திமுகவினா் விமா்சித்து வருகின்றனா். திமுக தயவால் காங்கிரஸ் வெற்றி பெற்றது எந்த அளவுக்கு உண்மையோ, அதே அளவுக்கு காங்கிரஸ் தயவால் திமுக வெற்றி பெற்றதும் உண்மை.
தமிழக அரசியல் வரலாற்றில் ஏதோ ஒரு வகையில் காங்கிரஸ் தயவில்தான் திமுக ஆட்சி அமைத்தது. ஒரு தோ்தலில்கூட கூட்டணி இல்லாமல் வெல்ல முடியாத திமுக, ஒருமுறைகூட கூட்டணி கட்சிகளுக்கு ஆட்சி, அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு தரவில்லை.
2006-இல் 100 இடங்களைக்கூட திமுக தொடவில்லை. காங்கிரஸ் தயவில்தான் ஆட்சி அமைத்தது. அப்போதும் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சிக்கு அமைச்சரவையில் இடம் தர திமுகவுக்கு மனம் வரவில்லை.
கூட்டணி கட்சிகளின் தயவில் வென்று, ஆட்சி அமைத்துவிட்டு, கூட்டணி கட்சிகளுக்கு ஆட்சி, அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு தர மறுக்கும் திமுக, கூட்டாட்சி பற்றி பேசுவது விந்தையிலும் விந்தை.
ஆட்சியமைக்க உதவிய கட்சிகளுக்கு ஆட்சி, அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு தருவதுதான் உண்மையான கூட்டாட்சி. இதைத்தான் முதல்வா் ஜோசப் விஜய் செயலில் காட்டியுள்ளாா்.
தவெக ஆட்சிக்கு ஆதரவு அளித்த காரணத்தால் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியையும், ராகுல் காந்தியையும் மோசமான வாா்த்தைகளால் திமுக வரம்பு மீறி விமா்சித்து வருகிறது. இனியும் திமுகவினரின் வரம்பு மீறல் தொடா்ந்தால், நாங்களும் வரம்பு மீற வேண்டியிருக்கும். திமுகவின் வழியிலேயே அவா்களுக்குப் பதிலடி கொடுக்க தயங்க மாட்டோம். அந்த நிலைக்கு எங்களைத் தள்ள வேண்டாம்.
தோ்தல் தோல்விக்கான உண்மையான காரணங்களை திமுக கண்டறிய வேண்டும். சிறுபான்மை மக்களும், பட்டியலின மக்களும் ஏன் திமுகவுக்கு வாக்களிக்கவில்லை என்பதைக் கண்டறியுங்கள்.
அதை விட்டுவிட்டு கூட்டணி கட்சிகள் மீது பழி சுமத்தி, கொச்சையாக விமா்சித்துக்கொண்டே இருந்தால் திமுக இனி எப்போதுமே ஆட்சிக்கு வர முடியாத நிலை ஏற்படும் என அதில் தெரிவித்துள்ளா்.
