Chennai: The results of the Civil Services preliminary examination for high-level posts including IAS, IFS, and IPS were released yesterday. 13,343 candidates have been selected to write the mains examination.
The Civil Services examination is conducted every year for 24 different high-level posts, including IAS, IFS, IPS, and IRS. This examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), consists of three stages: the preliminary examination, the mains examination, and the personality test.
In this situation, to fill 1,016 vacancies in the above-mentioned posts this year, the preliminary examination was held on May 24. More than 5.49 lakh people across India took this exam. In Tamil Nadu, about 40,000 people participated in the examination. In this situation, the UPSC released the preliminary examination results on its website (https://upsc.gov.in) yesterday.
Accordingly, 13,343 candidates have been selected for the next stage, the Main examination. Of them, 656 are Tamil Nadu students. UPSC has announced that those who have passed the preliminary examination can apply online for the Main examination from June 19 to 28.

அதன்படி அடுத்த கட்ட தேர்வான மெயின் தேர்வெழுத 13,343 பேர் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். அவர்களில் 656 பேர் தமிழக மாணவர்கள். முதல்நிலைத் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றவர்கள் மெயின் தேர்வுக்கு ஜூன் 19 முதல் 28-ம் தேதி வரை ஆன்லைனில் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம் என யுபிஎஸ்சி அறிவித்துள்ளது.
