In Puducherry, the N.R. Congress - BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is in power. However, Chief Minister Rangasamy has boycotted the NITI Aayog meeting being held under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. At that meeting, all the Chief Ministers of the states in India participated and recorded their views on development projects, funding, and other needs for their respective states.
In this very important meeting, Chief Minister Rangasamy should have raised demands such as statehood for Puducherry, including Puducherry in the Finance Commission, waiving the state’s debts, and providing special financial assistance. However, Chief Minister Rangasamy did not participate in this meeting. There may be political reasons for this. Did Chief Minister Rangasamy not go to Delhi because of the rift between the N.R. Congress and the BJP? It is not known whether Chief Minister Rangasamy has decided to boycott the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. But Chief Minister Rangasamy has missed a great opportunity to speak for the development of the state.

But the Modi government at the Centre has rejected his demand. At the NITI Aayog meeting, Chief Minister Rangasamy could have exerted pressure and tried to secure statehood for Puducherry. If Chief Minister Rangasamy had participated in and spoken at this meeting, the Prime Minister would have responded. Rangasamy has missed a good opportunity. This is very unfortunate. To boycott the BJP and show his opposition, Rangasamy has boycotted this meeting.
But this NITI Aayog meeting is not a meeting to register protest. It is a meeting to raise the state’s issues. Rangasamy should publicly apologize to the people of Puducherry for not participating in this meeting. Rangasamy does not attend any meeting. Rangasamy is not supportive of Puducherry’s development. மிக முக்கியமான இந்த கூட்டத்தில் புதுச்சேரிக்கு தேவையான மாநில அந்தஸ்து, நிதி கமிஷனில் புதுவையை இணைப்பது, மாநிலத்தின் கடன்களை தள்ளுபடி செய்வது, சிறப்பு நிதி வழங்குவது போன்ற கோரிக்கைகளை முதலமைச்சர் ரங்கசாமி வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால் இந்தக் கூட்டத்தில் முதலமைச்சர் ரங்கசாமி பங்கேற்கவில்லை. இதற்கு அரசியல் காரணங்கள் இருக்கலாம். என்.ஆர்.காங்கிரஸுக்கும், பா.ஜ.க-வுக்கும் இடையே நிலவும் விரிசலால் முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி டெல்லிக்கு செல்லவில்லையா? பிரதமர் தலைமையிலான கூட்டத்தை புறக்கணிக்க முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி முடிவு செய்துள்ளாரா என தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் மாநிலத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்காகப் பேச வேண்டிய சிறந்த வாய்ப்பை முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி இழந்துவிட்டார்.

ஆனால் இந்த நிதி ஆயோக் கூட்டம் எதிர்ப்பை பதிவு செய்யும் கூட்டம் அல்ல. மாநிலத்தின் பிரச்னைகளை எழுப்ப வேண்டிய கூட்டம். புதுவை மக்கள் மத்தியில் இந்தக் கூட்டத்தில் பங்கேற்காததற்கு பகிரங்கமாக ரங்கசாமி மன்னிப்பைக் கேட்க வேண்டும். ஒரு கூட்டத்துக்கும் ரங்கசாமி செல்வதில்லை. புதுச்சேரி மாநில வளர்ச்சிக்கு ரங்கசாமி உறுதுணையாக இல்லை. அதை புதுச்சேரி மக்கள் இதை புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும். என்.ஆர்.காங்கிரஸ் – பா.ஜ.க கூட்டணி ஆட்சி ஆரம்பத்திலேயே மக்களுக்கு துரோகம் இழைத்துள்ளது. முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி நிதி ஆயோக் கூட்டத்தில் பங்கேற்காதது உண்மையில் கண்டனத்துக்குரியது” என்று பேசியிருக்கிறார்.
