Votes cast in the legislative assembly elections held last month in five states, including Assam, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu, have been counted since this morning. In Assam, elections were held for 126 constituencies. A total of 722 candidates contested. From the beginning of the vote counting, the BJP maintained the lead. In this election, Chief Minister Himanta Sarma contested from the Jalukbari constituency. State Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi worked tirelessly with the determination to win this election at any cost. He contested from the Jorhat constituency. The BJP contested in alliance with the Assam Gana Parishad party. The BJP contested in 90 constituencies, while the Congress contested in 99 constituencies.
In this election, according to post-election surveys, the BJP alliance has been leading from the beginning during the vote count. Out of a total of 126 constituencies, the BJP is leading in 97 constituencies. The Congress, which won 50 constituencies in the last election, is leading in only 26 constituencies this time. State Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are leading in the constituencies they contested. These election results are seen as a major setback for the Congress party. The BJP has won in the majority of the seats required to form the government.
Following this, Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to be sworn in as Chief Minister for the second time. In this election, Congress Secretary Priyanka Gandhi took charge of the election campaign and worked actively. Despite this, Congress won significantly fewer seats compared to the previous election. Himanta Biswa Sarma was once a key leader in the Congress party. However, due to differences of opinion with Rahul Gandhi, he left the Congress party and joined the BJP. When the BJP won the 2021 election, Himanta Biswa Sarma became Chief Minister for the first time.

அஸ்ஸாம், மேற்கு வங்கம், தமிழ்நாடு உட்பட 5 மாநிலங்களுக்கு கடந்த மாதம் நடந்த சட்டமன்ற தேர்தலில் பதிவான வாக்குகள் இன்று காலை முதல் எண்ணப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. இதில் அஸ்ஸாமில் 126 தொகுதிகளுக்கு தேர்தல் நடந்தது. 722 பேர் இதில் போட்டியிட்டனர். வாக்கு எண்ணிக்கையின் ஆரம்பத்தில் இருந்தே பா.ஜ.க முன்னிலையில் இருந்து வந்தது. இத்தேர்தலில் முதல்வர் ஹிமந்த சர்மா ஜலுபெரி தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டார். மாநில காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் கெளரவ் கோகாய் எப்படியும் இம்முறை தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற்றுவிட வேண்டும் என்ற வேகத்தில் வேலை செய்தார். அவர் ஜொர்ஹட் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டார். அஸ்ஸாம் கன பரிஷத் கட்சியுடன் கூட்டணி சேர்ந்து பா.ஜ.க போட்டியிட்டது. பா.ஜ.க 90 தொகுதியிலும், காங்கிரஸ் 99 தொகுதியிலும் போட்டியிட்டன.
இத்தேர்தலில் தேர்தலுக்கு பிந்தைய கருத்துக்கணிப்புகளின் படி வாக்குகள் எண்ணப்பட்டதில் ஆரம்பத்தில் இருந்தே பா.ஜ.க கூட்டணியே முன்னிலையில் இருந்து வந்தது. மொத்தமுள்ள 126 தொகுதியில் பா.ஜ.க 97 தொகுதியில் முன்னிலையில் இருக்கிறது.
கடந்த தேர்தலில் 50 தொகுதிகளில் வெற்றி பெற்ற காங்கிரஸ் இம்முறை வெறும் 26 தொகுதியில் மட்டுமே முன்னிலையில் இருக்கிறது. மாநில காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் கெளரவ் கொகாய் மற்றும் முதல்வர் ஹிமந்த பிஸ்வா சர்மா தாங்கள் போட்டியிட்ட தொகுதியில் முன்னிலை பெற்றுள்ளனர். இத்தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சிக்கு பெரும் பின்னடைவாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
பா.ஜ.க ஆட்சியமைக்க தேவையான அறுதி பெரும்பான்மை இடங்களில் வெற்றிபெற்றுள்ளது. இதையடுத்து ஹிமந்த பிஸ்வா சர்மா இரண்டாவது முறையாக முதல்வராக பதவியேற்க இருக்கிறார். இத்தேர்தலில் காங்கிரஸ் செயலாளர் பிரியங்கா காந்தி தேர்தல் பொறுப்பை ஏற்று பணியாற்றினார். அப்படி இருந்தும் கடந்த தேர்தலில் பெற்ற தொகுதிகளை விட இம்முறை காங்கிரஸ் மிகவும் குறைவான இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளது. ஹிமந்த பிஸ்வா சர்மாவும் ஒரு நேரத்தில் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியில் முக்கிய தலைவராக இருந்தார்.
ஆனால் ராகுல் காந்தியுடன் ஏற்பட்ட கருத்து வேறுபாடு காரணமாக அவர் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியில் இருந்து விலகி பா.ஜ.கவில் சேர்ந்தார். 2021ம் ஆண்டு தேர்தலில் பா.ஜ.க வெற்றி பெற்றபோது முதல் முறையாக ஹிமந்த பிஸ்வா சர்மா முதல்வரானார்.
