The Andipatti constituency, known as the "constituency where three former Chief Ministers contested," has now earned a new title as the constituency where brothers have competed three times. Maharajan, the sitting MLA from DMK, and his brother Logirajan from AIADMK contested against each other. In the 2019 by-election, Maharajan won the brotherly contest for the first time. In the subsequent 2021 election, the brothers again competed, and Maharajan won once more. This contest is not just a rivalry between AIADMK and DMK but also a competition between brothers.
Therefore, the AIADMK members began raising the battle flag, saying, "Lokirajan should not be given the seat again." On the other hand, Maharajan, who had been the sitting MLA for seven years in the Andipatti constituency, had done nothing, especially in the Varushanadu areas where the Forest Department was obstructing road construction, causing the people of that area to be deeply dissatisfied with the DMK. Additionally, due to the conflict between Thangathamizchelvan and Maharajan, and the involvement of DMK members in internal party sabotage against him, there was a situation where AIADMK had a chance to win this time. However, giving the seat to Lokirajan again caused unrest within the AIADMK. Nevertheless, the AIADMK members engaged vigorously in election work.
"Give me one chance after giving my elder brother two chances," Lokirajan openly campaigned among the people. During the counting of votes for the Theni Tavek South District Secretary Left Pandivakku, Lokirajan was leading until noon but then started to decline. Maharajan, who continued to lead, ultimately won for the third time with a margin of 8,944 votes. Due to numerous complaints against Pandi, who contested on behalf of Tavek, the constituency people voted for DMK and ADMK candidates. As a result, the Tavek wave that swept across Tamil Nadu lost strength in the Andipatti constituency.

திமுக சார்பில் சிட்டிங் எம்.எல்.ஏ மகராஜனும், அதிமுக சார்பில் அவருடைய தம்பி லோகிராஜனும் போட்டியிட்டனர். 2019 இடைத் தேர்தலின் போது முதன் முதலாக மோதி கொண்ட அண்ணன், தம்பி போட்டியில் மகராஜன் வெற்றி பெற்றார்.

’அ.தி.மு.க, தி.மு.க போட்டியை தாண்டி அண்ணனுக்கும் தம்பிக்குமான போட்டியாகவே இருக்கிறது, அதனால் மீண்டும் லோகிராஜனுக்கு சீட் கொடுக்க கூடாது’ என அ.தி.மு.க -வினர் போர்கொடி உயர்த்த தொடங்கினார்.
மறுபுறம் 7 வருடங்கள் சிட்டிங் எம்.எல்.ஏவாக இருந்த மகாராஜன் தொகுதிக்கு ஒன்றுமே செய்யவில்லை, குறிப்பாக வருஷநாடு பகுதிகளில் சாலை அமைப்பதற்கு வனத்துறை முட்டுக்கட்டை போட்டு வருவதால் அந்த பகுதி மக்கள் தி.மு.க மீது கடும் அதிருப்தியில் இருந்தனர்.
கூடுதலாக தங்கதமிழ்செல்வனுடன், மகாராஜனுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட மோதலால் அவருக்கு எதிராக தி.மு.க.வினரும் உட்கட்சி பூசலில் ஈடுபட்டதால் இந்த முறை அதிமுக வென்று விட வாய்ப்புள்ளது என்கிற நிலைமை இருந்தது. ஆனால் மீண்டும் லோகிராஜனுக்கே சீட் கொடுத்தது அ.தி.மு.க -விற்குள் சலசலப்பை உருவாக்கியது.
ஆனாலும் அ.தி.மு.க -வினர் கடுமையாக தேர்தல் பணிகளில் ஈடுபட்டனர். ’இரண்டு முறை அண்ணனுக்கு வாய்ப்பு கொடுத்து விட்டீர்கள் எனக்கு ஒரு வாய்ப்பு கொடுங்கள்’ என லோகிராஜன் வெளிப்படையாகவே மக்களிடம் பிரச்சாரம் செய்து வந்தார்.
வாக்கு எண்ணிக்கையின் போது மதியம் வரை லீடிங்கில் இருந்த லோகிராஜன் அதற்கு பிறகு இறங்குமுகம் காணத் தொடங்கினார். தொடர்ந்து லீடிங்கில் வந்த மகாராஜன் இறுதியாக 8,944 வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் மூன்றாவது முறையாக வெற்றி பெற்றார்
தவெக சார்பில் போட்டியிட்ட பாண்டி என்பவர் மீது நிறைய புகார்கள் வரிசை கட்டியதால் தொகுதி மக்கள் தி.மு.க, அ.தி.மு.க -வினருக்கே வாக்களித்தனர். இதனால் தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் வீசிய த.வெ.க அலை ஆண்டிபட்டி தொகுதியில் வலுவிழந்தது.
