The mother of former AIADMK minister and former Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman, Saraswathi Ammal, passed away on May 16 due to old age. Various people have been expressing their condolences over her demise. In this situation, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami visited Pollachi Jayaraman's house in the Thippampatti area of Pollachi and offered his condolences.
Earlier, former minister S.P. Velumani, former MLAs P.R.G. Arunkumar, Kandasamy, and others went to his house and offered their condolences. Meanwhile, when S.P. Velumani arrived, an AIADMK cadre in the crowd shouted, “They’re traitors, brother, all of them,” causing a commotion. As S.P. Velumani’s expression changed, an agitated Pollachi Jayaraman rebuked him, saying such things should not be spoken. Party members removed the cadre who had shouted from the spot. As a result, there was a tense atmosphere at Pollachi Jayaraman’s house for a while.

இதற்கு முன்னதாக முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் எஸ்.பி. வேலுமணி, முன்னாள் சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் பி.ஆர்.ஜி. அருண்குமார், கந்தசாமி உள்ளிட்டோர் அவரது வீட்டிற்கு சென்று இரங்கல் தெரிவித்தனர். இதனிடையே எஸ்.பி.வேலுமணி வந்த போது, கூட்டத்தில் இருந்த அ.தி.மு.க. தொண்டர் ஒருவர் ‘துரோகிங்க அண்ணா இவனுக எல்லாம்’ என குரல் எழுப்பியதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. இதனால் எஸ்.பி.வேலுமணியின் முகம் மாறிய நிலையில், டென்ஷனான பொள்ளாச்சி ஜெயராமன் இதுபோல பேசக் கூடாது என கடிந்து கொண்டார். குரல் எழுப்பிய தொண்டரை கட்சியினர் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேற்றினர். இதன் காரணமாக பொள்ளாச்சி ஜெயராமன் வீட்டில் சிறிது நேரம் பரபரப்பான சூழல் நிலவியது.
