Yesterday, Edappadi Palaniswami's faction requested that Agri Krishnamoorthy be recognized as the official candidate. Today, in the C.V. Shanmugam faction, C.V. Shanmugam, C. Vijayabaskar, R. Kamaraj, and others met the Speaker and requested that C. Vijayabaskar be recognized as the official candidate of the AIADMK. After meeting the Speaker, the C.V. Shanmugam faction members left without meeting the journalists. The Speaker had called the J.C.T. journalists to discuss this matter. He said, "Both parties have submitted their demands in writing. We will review the petitions from both sides, consult legally, and announce the decision in the Assembly."
He said, "We will also make a decision soon regarding who the culprit is."

இன்று சி.வி.சண்முகம் அணி தரப்பில் சி.வி.சண்முகம், சி.விஜயபாஸ்கர், ஆர்.காமராஜ் போன்றோர் சபாநாயகரை சந்தித்து பேசி, சி.விஜயபாஸ்கரை அதிமுகவின் கொறடாவாக அங்கீகரிக்க வேண்டும் எனக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டனர். சபாநாயகரை சந்தித்துவிட்டு வெளியே வந்த சி.வி.சண்முகம் அணியினர் பத்திரிகையாளர்களை சந்திக்காமல் சென்றனர்.
இந்த விவகாரம் தொடர்பாக சபாநாயகர் ஜே.சி.டி. செய்தியாளர்களை அழைத்துப் பேசியிருந்தார். அவர் கூறுகையில், ‘இருதரப்பும் தங்கள் தரப்பின் கோரிக்கைகளை கடிதங்களாக கொடுத்திருக்கின்றனர். இரு தரப்பின் மனுக்களையும் பரிசீலித்து சட்டப்படி ஆலோசித்து முடிவை சட்டமன்றத்திலேயே அறிவிப்போம். கொறடா யார் என்பது குறித்தும் விரைவில் முடிவெடுப்போம்’ என்றார்.
