DMK spokesperson T.K.S. Elangovan said on Wednesday (June 17) that the TVK government is not ready to criticize the BJP government, DMK reported.
When C. Joseph Vijay took oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, he had announced that a white paper on the state’s financial situation would be released.
Accordingly, Finance Minister Mari Wilson released a white paper yesterday (June 16) on Tamil Nadu’s financial situation.
Speaking about this, T.K.S. Elangovan said:
We know that they (the TVK government) do not care about what is actually happening. Fearing the BJP government, they do not speak about how the central government does not provide sufficient funds to the states. They are not prepared to criticize the BJP government. Their white paper was released solely to criticize the DMK government, which performed well.
Economic indicators show that Tamil Nadu’s contribution to the national gross domestic product is the second largest among the states. Tamil Nadu is an economically advanced state with strong performance. It helps the needy and the poor. This is very essential. Because helping citizens in need is the duty of a democratic government, said TKS Elangovan.
