கரூருக்கு முன், கரூருக்கு பின் என கொள்கை எதிரி யார் என்பதில் விஜயின் அணுகுமுறையில் மாற்றம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது” என்று விஜய்யை விமர்சித்து பேசியுள்ளார்.
விஜய்யின் அரசியல் செயல்பாடு குறித்து கரூர் சம்பவத்தின்போதே கருத்துத் தெரிவித்திருந்த பெ. சண்முகம், “கரூர் விவகாரத்தை பயன்படுத்தி, நடிகர் விஜய்யை தங்கள் பக்கம் இழுக்க பாஜக முயற்சிப்பதாக” கூறியிருந்தார்.
