தமிழக அரசியலில் விசிக கடந்து வந்த பாதை என்ன?
* 1989-ல் ‘தலித் பாந்தர்’ அமைப்பின் மாநில அமைப்பாளராக இருந்த திருமாவளவன், 1991-ல் இந்த அமைப்பை ‘விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி’ என்று மாற்றினார்.
* கட்சி ஆரம்பித்து எட்டு ஆண்டுகள் தேர்தல் அரசியல் களத்தில் இருந்து விலகியிருந்தது, திருமாவளவனின் விசிக
* 1999 மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில் ஜி.கே.மூப்பனார் அழைப்பை ஏற்று முதன் முதலாக தமாகா-வுடன் கூட்டணி அமைத்து நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தல் மூலம் அரசியலில் அடியெடுத்து வைத்தது.

* முதல் தேர்தலிலேயே பெரம்பலூரில் 1 லட்சம், சிதம்பரத்தில் 2 லட்சத்துக்கும் அதிகமான வாக்குகளைப் பெற்றதால் திருமாவளவன் முக்கிய அரசியல் சக்தியாக விளங்கினார்.
* முதல் முறையாக 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் களமிறங்கிய திருமாவளவன் திமுக கூட்டணியில் உதயசூரியன் சின்னத்தில் கடலூர் மாவட்டம் மங்களூர் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டு சட்டப்பேரவையில் நுழைந்தார்.
* திமுக உறுப்பினராக சட்டப்பேரவையில் சுயேச்சையாக செயல்பட முடியவில்லை எனக் கூறி 2004-ல் எம்.எல்.ஏ. பதவியை ராஜினாமா செய்தார்.
திமுக உடனான கூட்டணி
* 2006 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் ஜெயலலிதா தலைமையிலான அதிமுகவில் கூட்டணி வைத்து ் 9 தொகுதிகளில் தனிச்சின்னத்தில் போட்டியிட்ட விசிக இரண்டு இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றது.
* பிறகு 2006 உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தலில் ஏற்பட்ட சிக்கலால் அதிமுக கூட்டணியில் இருந்து வெளியேறி திமுகவுடன் கூட்டணி அமைத்தது.
* 2009 மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில் திமுக கூட்டணியில் சிதம்பரம் தொகுதியில் திருமாவளவன் வென்று முதன்முறையாக நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் அடியெடுத்து வைத்தார்.
* தொடர்ந்து 2011 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் தி.மு.க கூட்டணியில், 10 தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்ட விசிக ஒரு இடத்தில் கூட வெற்றிபெறவில்லை.
மக்கள் நலக் கூட்டணி
* 2014 தேர்தலிலும் அதே கூட்டணியில் 2 இடங்களில் போட்டியிட்டு, இரண்டிலுமே தோல்வியைத் தழுவியது.
* தொடர்ந்து 2016 தேர்தலில் மக்கள் நலக் கூட்டணியில் 25 தொகுதிகளில் போட்டியிட்ட விசிகவிற்கு ஒரு தொகுதியில் கூட வெற்றிபெற முடியவில்லை. குறிப்பாக அந்தத் தேர்தலில் திருமா 87 வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் தோல்வியைத் தழுவினார்.
* பிறகு 2019 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் மீண்டும் திமுகவுடன் கூட்டணி வைத்து இரண்டு இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றது. எம்.பி-யாக திருமாவும், ரவிக்குமாரும் பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொண்டனர்.
* தொடர்ந்து 2021 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் திமுகவுடன் கூட்டணி வைத்த விசிகவிற்கு 6 இடங்கள் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டது. இதில் 4 இடங்களில் மாபெரும் வெற்றியைப் பெற்றிருந்தது.
அமைச்சரவையில் விசிக
* 2024 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் திமுக கூட்டணியில் ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட இரண்டு இடங்களிலும் தனிச்சின்னத்தில் போட்டியிட்டு இரண்டிலும் வெற்றி பெற்றது.
* திமுகவுடன் பல தேர்தல்களில் கூட்டணி வைத்த விசிக சமீபத்தில் நடந்து முடிந்த 2026 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலிலும் திமுகவுடன் கூட்டணியைத் தொடர்ந்து 8 இடங்களில் போட்டியிட்டு இரண்டில் வெற்றி பெற்றது. இருப்பினும் பெரும்பான்மையை நிரூபிக்க தவெக கட்சி ஆதரவு கோரிய நிலையில் தனது ஆதரவை கொடுத்த விசிக இன்று அமைச்சரவையில் இடம்பெற்றிருக்கிறது.
* கரடுமுரடான அரசியல் களத்தில் கால்பதித்து பல சாவால்களை எதிர்கொண்ட விசிக முதல் முறையாக அமைச்சரவையில் இடம் பிடித்து தனது பயணத்தைத் தொடர்கிறது.!
