New Delhi: Sanjay Raut has said that 6 of the 9 MPs from Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) party will have their membership revoked after they boycotted the party’s parliamentary group meeting.
For the past few days, reports had been circulating that 6 MPs and 16 MLAs from Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) were set to join the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. The issue intensified after 5 of the party’s total 9 Lok Sabha members did not attend an emergency consultation meeting called by Uddhav Thackeray on the 14th.
In this situation, a whip order was issued to all the party’s Lok Sabha members to attend the party’s parliamentary party meeting to be held in Delhi. Reports say that when two-thirds of the members of Parliament join as a separate group or with another party, the anti-defection law cannot be applied to them, and therefore these six will soon join Shiv Sena.
