New Delhi: Union Cabinet Secretary Dr. T.V. Somanathan reviewed the preparations for the NEET re-examination to be held on June 21.
In a consultation meeting with the Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Abhishek Singh, he reviewed the preparations for the NEET re-examination.
During this review, he emphasized the need to ensure the necessary coordination work, in collaboration with the concerned organizations, to conduct the re-examination smoothly, transparently, and securely, without any issues.
Somnathan said that the central and state governments, along with district administrations, are working in coordination to ensure the NEET re-exam is conducted smoothly.
He also warned that very strict legal action will be taken against anyone who tries to undermine the credibility of the re-exam, disrupt its smooth conduct, or engage in any malpractice in it.
Earlier, on June 1, Somnathan had conducted a detailed review with the central government and the secretaries of the concerned agencies regarding the arrangements to be made.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has stated that these meetings are being held primarily to safeguard the credibility and integrity of the NEET re-examination process.
The NEET re-examination is scheduled to be held on the 21st.
