TVK has given one vacant Rajya Sabha MP seat in Tamil Nadu to its alliance partner, the Congress.
It has been officially announced that Praveen Chakravarthy will contest the MP election on behalf of the Congress.
Following this announcement, Praveen Chakravarthy posted his thanks on his X page.
In that post, "I consider it both an honor and a great responsibility to have been chosen as the first MP candidate of the Tamil Nadu Social Justice Progressive (TVK+INC+VCK+IUML+CPI+CPM) alliance.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to Rahul Gandhi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay for placing their trust in me.
After being elected, I promise the millions of alliance workers that I will speak in the Indian Parliament as the bold, loyal, and honest voice of the Tamil people," he had posted.
Meanwhile, CPM state general secretary P. Shanmugam has posted condemning this.
It says that he has been nominated as a Rajya Sabha candidate on behalf of the new alliance, and that mentioning the CPI(M) name in it is incorrect.
No one has approached us or consulted us regarding forming an alliance or seeking support for this candidate.
It has already been clearly stated on what basis the Marxist Communist Party has extended support for TVK to form a government.
He has stated that Praveen Chakravarthy’s post should be called “excessive preaching.”

கூட்டணி அமைப்பது குறித்தோ, இந்த வேட்பாளருக்கு ஆதரவு கேட்டோ யாரும் எங்களை அணுகவோ, ஆலோசிக்கவோ இல்லை.
