A resolution was passed at the state conference held under the leadership of Jagannath Misra, president of the 'Our People's Progress Association' (NMMK), demanding that the Union Territory of Pondicherry be granted statehood. The Pondicherry state conference took place at the Kamban Auditorium there. The conference was presided over by the party's founding president P.L.A. Jagannath Misra. Puducherry state organizer Dakshina Murthy, Pondicherry youth wing organizer Manikandan, and deputy organizer Viluppuram Selvam took the lead. Tamil Nadu coordinator R.S. Tamilchelvan welcomed and addressed everyone. The conference resolutions were read out by the party's general secretary Sura.
The party's Deputy General Secretary Selvendran, Tamil Nadu Youth Wing General Secretary M.S. Mani, Kallakurichi District Organizer Santhosh, and State Media Department Secretary Abuthahir proposed the resolutions. At the conference, P.L.A. Jeganath Mishra spoke, saying, "We have started a political party with the ideal that all sections of people should gain political power, and we have been undertaking various activities to meet the basic needs of the people. The party's main policy is clean water, clean air, and clean soil, and with this slogan, we have been strengthening the party's structure in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry."
We will be the decisive force determining victory in 50 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, we know our strength in the 30 constituencies in Pondicherry. I assert confidently that without our support, it is impossible to form a government in Pondicherry. The first state conference in Pondicherry has been a successful conference. தமிழ்நாட்டில் 50 சட்டமன்ற தொகுதிகளில் வெற்றியை தீர்மானிக்கும் சக்தியாக நாங்கள் இருப்போம். இதேபோல் பாண்டிச்சேரியில் உள்ள 30 தொகுதிகளில் எங்களின் பலம் என்ன என்று எங்களுக்கு தெரியும். எங்களின் ஆதரவு இல்லாமல் பாண்டிச்சேரியில் ஆட்சி அமைக்க முடியாது என்பதை ஆணித்தரமாக கூறுகிறேன். பாண்டிச்சேரியில் முதல் மாநில மாநாடு வெற்றி மாநாடாக அமைந்துள்ளது. பாண்டிச்சேரி மக்களின் குரலாக நமது மக்கள் முன்னேற்ற கழகம் ஒலித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும்.

மக்களால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுகின்ற அரசுக்கு மக்களாட்சி தத்துவப்படி முழு அதிகார வழங்க வேண்டும்.
கோடை காலங்களில் ஏற்படுகின்ற தண்ணீர் பிரச்சனைக்கு நிரந்தர தீர்வு காண வேண்டும்.
பாண்டிச்சேரியில் உள்ள 4 – மாவட்டங்களிலும் நில உரிமை பட்டா பிரச்னை இருக்கிறது. அதனை ஆய்வு செய்து விரைவாக பட்டா வழங்க வேண்டும்.
பாண்டிச்சேரிக்கு தினந்தோறும் ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் சுற்றுலா பயணிகள் வந்து செல்கின்றனர்.
இதனால் போக்குவரத்து கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்படுகிறது. போக்குவரத்தை சீரமைக்க மேம்பாலங்கள்அமைக்க வேண்டும்” என்பது உள்பட 12 தீர்மானங்கள் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது.
