India’s Esha Singh stunned by winning gold at the World Cup shooting competition in China, while Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal.
In the women’s 25m pistol final, Esha Singh finished first with 40 points, while Manu Bhaker took third place with 28 points.
China’s Yuyu Zhang finished second with 37 points and won the silver medal. Earlier, in the qualification round, Manu Bhaker advanced to the final in fifth place with 586 points, and Esha Singh advanced in seventh place with 585 points.
Rahi Sarnobat, Simranpreet Kaur, and Abhinya Ashok Patil participated only for ranking points.
Meanwhile, in the men’s trap final, India’s Pounish Mendiratta finished 6th with 11 points. Vivaan Kapoor, Udayveer Singh Jajji, Sushil Charan Kianth, and Mohammed Asad Sultan were eliminated in the qualification round.
Similarly, in the women’s trap event, Keerthi Gupta and Pragati Dubey missed out on a place in the final and exited in the qualification round.
In the medal tally, India is currently in 3rd place with 3 medals — 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.
