After the court hearing, Udhayanidhi Stalin, who came to Tiruchi airport to go to Chennai, met reporters. Speaking then, he said,
"Last year, in September 2025, during a political campaign held in Karur, 41 innocent people, including children and women, lost their lives after being caught in a horrific stampede. At that time, Vijay, the current Chief Minister, who had come to Tiruchi from Karur, departed for Chennai from Tiruchi airport. At that moment, the journalists gathered at Tiruchi airport asked him questions about the incident in which 41 people died in Karur.

But, unwilling to respond to that grief and afraid to face the journalists, he left from there quickly without answering anything. But we are not like that. No matter what difficult situation arises, no matter how harsh the questions asked, we always have the courage to face the journalists and answer the people. Under no circumstances will we run away and hide instead of meeting the journalists," he said sharply.
