The Tamil Nadu Budget for the 2026–27 financial year was presented in the Assembly today. In the budget presented by the Tamil Nadu Finance Minister, the word “victory” has been added to the names of all schemes.
The Tamil Nadu budget has announced allocations for various departments, the introduction of new schemes, and upgraded announcements for schemes already being implemented.
Among them, the schemes newly introduced by the Tamil Nadu government have been launched with the word “victory” added to the names of schemes that were already being implemented by previous governments.

Accordingly, in this budget, it has released the document “Victorious Tamil Nadu - Visionary Plans” with ten pillars. Based on this, by implementing various schemes, the Tamil Nadu government has pledged to transform Tamil Nadu into a prosperous state free of poverty and to make it a state with a $1.5 trillion economy by 2036.
Moreover, the laptop scheme for students has now been renamed the Victory Laptop Scheme.
The scheme that provides skill training to young people and makes them eligible for employment is the Victory Skill Training Scheme.
The Victory Entrepreneurship Scheme will be implemented to improve the livelihoods of Scheduled Caste and tribal communities.
The word “Victory” has been included in announcements such as the introduction of the Victory Women’s Goat Rearing Scheme for women and persons with disabilities in rural areas.
Similarly, schemes such as the Victory Housing Scheme have also been incorporated in the same place.
The Employment Guarantee Scheme has been renamed as Vetri 150 as a sub-scheme of the Vetri 150 project.
