Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday released a book written by MDMK General Secretary Vaiko.
The book, titled ‘Vaiko in Parliament,’ a collection of Vaiko’s historic speeches in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over the past 30-plus years, was released today.
Rahul Gandhi, who participated in the book launch event held in Delhi, released the book and delivered the keynote address.
At this event, INDIA alliance party leaders participated, including National Conference president Farooq Abdullah, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, Communist Party of India general secretary D. Raja, Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary M.A. Baby, VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan, and Nationalist Congress Party's Supriya Sule.
Along with them, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Rajmohan participated on behalf of TVK.
After the MDMK, which had broken away from the DMK alliance, extended support to TVK, Vaiko had invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay in person to attend the book launch event.
At this event, since Chief Minister Vijay could not attend, Minister Rajmohan participated as his representative.
Meanwhile, the display of a photograph of Rahul Gandhi with Akhilesh Yadav and Vijay on the event stage has become a talking point in political circles.
Following reports that efforts were underway to bring TVK into the INDIA alliance after DMK withdrew from it, Rajmohan’s participation and the photograph of Chief Minister Vijay are being seen as significant.
