DMK leader Stalin has issued a statement condemning the arrest of Udhayanidhi Stalin. In it, “At the Thanjavur protest rally condemning the negligent and arrogant attitude of the T.V.K. government, which lacks the courage to uphold Cauvery rights, Legislative Assembly Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi exposed the incompetence of the T.V.K. government.
The incompetent dummy Chief Minister has failed to bring Cauvery water and cannot even speak to stop the Mekedatu dam. While farmers are shedding tears in anguish, the ministers are sitting there shedding tears after watching the film acted in by the Chief Minister. The opposition leader levelled a series of allegations, saying that a joker cabinet has been formed in Tamil Nadu.

The rulers have not been able to answer this so far. To divert attention from the issue, the police force that came to Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi’s house has arrested him in an arbitrary manner and taken him to Thanjavur.
They have started this action thinking that when the budget is presented tomorrow, the Opposition Leader should not be in the Assembly.
After the protests shown by party cadres and the public across the country, the T.V.K. government lawyer has told the court, “There is no intention to arrest him; we will release him once the inquiry is over.”
If the purpose was only to conduct an inquiry, couldn’t it have been done in Chennai itself? Why take him to Thanjavur? The order issued by the Chennai High Court that ‘Udhayanidhi must be released today itself’ is a blow to TVK’s fascist nature!
Since coming to power, Chief Minister Vijay has been doing only one thing: arresting those who criticize him, his ministers, and his government.

Udhayanidhi did not say anything obscene in his speech. He did not mention anyone. Some political leaders condemning Udhayanidhi without verifying what others spread—that he said something he did not say—is a way of diverting the issue. Udhayanidhi is not someone who speaks carelessly. Even if he does speak carelessly, he is the kind of person who immediately apologizes.
The party comrades who have been arrested for participating in protests across Tamil Nadu must be released immediately!
Arrogance leads to destruction.
“Continuous arrogance will hasten destruction!” he has noted.
