Madurai Panthers won a thrilling victory thanks to a brilliant spell from CSK bowler Gurjapneet Singh.

In the second match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), Madurai Panthers won the toss and chose to bowl. Batting first, Trichy Chola scored 173 runs in 20 overs.

For the Trichy team, opener Suresh Kumar scored 43 runs off 18 balls. In the end, Ravi was dismissed for 35, while Sanjay Yadav remained unbeaten till the end with 37 runs.

The Madurai Panthers, who played next, were at one stage 114 for 6 in 14.5 overs. For those who thought there was no way back, Madurai’s lower-order batters delivered a stunning response.

With 42 runs needed from the last 3 overs, Gurjapneet Singh, who had impressed as a bowler for the CSK side, came in and smashed 21 runs off 9 balls.

Another player, P. Saravanan, scored 26 runs off 13 balls to pave the way for victory. With a thrilling win, the Madurai team has registered its first victory.

தமிழ்நாடு பிரீமியா் லீக் (டிஎன்பிஎல்) இரண்டாவது போட்டியில் டாஸ் வென்ற மதுரை பேந்தர்ஸ் அணி பந்துவீசியது. முதலில் பேட்டிங் செய்த திருச்சி சோழா அணி 20 ஓவர்களில் 173 ரன்கள் குவித்தது.
