Today, the TVK government presented its first budget.
In the budget presentation, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Mari Wilson first read out the allocation for the School Education Department.
In this budget, the TVK government has allocated Rs. 44,527 crore for Tamil Nadu’s School Education Department. Former School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh criticized this on his X page, saying it is lower than the DMK’s interim budget.

“In the Dravidian model government led by our party leader Stalin, who loudly says that education alone is an asset that cannot be taken away by anyone, the allocation of funds for the School Education Department had been on an upward trend.
However, the budget released today shows that the current government has allocated less funding than what was announced in the interim budget released last February.
“Do not forget that it is the government’s duty to ensure that ‘Tamil Nadu excels in education’ continues forever.”
“Education is the only wealth that no one can take away” — under the leadership of our party leader @mkstalin, in the #DravidianModel government, the allocation of funds for the School Education Department had been on an upward trend.
