"There is no change in the medical consultation procedure'

The State Medical Education Admission Committee has stated that there is no change in the state counselling procedure for MBBS and BDS courses, and that Tamil Nadu is already following the amendments proposed by the Central government.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Central government has made some changes to the counselling rules for All India quota seats. As a result, doubts have arisen among students and parents over whether similar amendments will be made to the rules for Tamil Nadu’s state quota seats.

In clarification, the admission committee issued the following announcement:

As far as the certificate verification procedure is concerned, the integrated online process will continue to be implemented in Tamil Nadu as usual. After counseling, original certificates will be verified directly only when the concerned students join the colleges.

Students who do not wish to join the medical seats allotted through counseling must register their rejection applications only online.

Applications to surrender such seats must be submitted only through the Student Admission Committee’s official website, www.tnmedicalselection.org.

The process of students who participated in the first round moving up to seats in the subsequent rounds (upgradation) will continue as usual.

All seats under government quota, management quota, minority quota, and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota will be filled as per the existing procedure.

Official information regarding the medical counseling will be published on the admissions committee website. The notice also states that rumors and misinformation circulating on social media should not be believed.

சான்றிதழ் சரிபார்ப்பு நடைமுறையைப் பொருத்தவரை தமிழ்நாட்டில் வழக்கம் போலவே ஒருங்கிணைந்த இணையவழி நடைமுறை தொடர்ந்து செயல்படுத்தப்படும். கலந்தாய்வுக்குப் பிறகு, சம்பந்தப்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் கல்லூரிகளில் சேரும்போது மட்டுமே அசல் சான்றிதழ்கள் நேரடியாக சரிபார்க்கப்படும்.

கலந்தாய்வு மூலம் ஒதுக்கீடு பெற்ற மருத்துவ இடங்களில் சேர விரும்பாத மாணவர்கள், அதற்கான நிராகரிப்பு விண்ணப்பங்களை இணையவழியில் மட்டுமே பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும்.

முதல்சுற்றில் பங்கேற்ற மாணவர்கள், அடுத்தடுத்த சுற்றுகளில் இடங்களை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளும் முறை (அப்கிரேடேஷன்) வழக்கம்போல தொடரும்.
