Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge today (Aug. 10) criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he is posting reels instead of speaking in Parliament.
Speaking on this in the Parliament complex, he said,
In the Ram temple issue, Modi ji’s trusted trustees themselves were involved in theft. The opposition parties demanded that the Prime Minister himself reveal the details of this; however, nothing has happened so far.
In the past 15 days, the Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah have not spoken about these issues. We have been fighting for all of these issues.
We want a debate. Why do they (the government) not want to debate? They issue statements on other matters; but why not on this matter? We are only asking for a statement.
They have no answer to this. They have been unable to function. The government is responsible for this; Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are responsible.
For the past 17 days, we have been insisting that Amit Shah should come to the House and present a report on the injustice and atrocities inflicted on students. But he has not come at all. Prime Minister Modi is busy making reels, Kharge said.
