The people of Balochistan province have long been fighting for independence from Pakistan, India’s neighboring country. As demands grow stronger for Balochistan to become a separate state, the people of Balochistan are celebrating their first Independence Day today, August 11.
In addition, the Balochistan Republic has called for the Balochistan Republic to be recognized as a legally independent country.
Balochistan leader Mir Yar Baloch has appealed to the international community to recognize Balochistan not merely as a province of Pakistan, but as an independent country.

I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to our brothers and sisters living in Balochistan, where Baloch, Pashtuns, Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, and people of all religions live,” he posted.
