After winning the series against Zimbabwe, Shreyas Iyer said about VVS Laxman: “Apart from dropping a few catches in the series against Zimbabwe, I think the Indian team did not make any other mistakes. Everyone in the team put in their hard work. I would like to express my gratitude to VVS Laxman sir, who kept encouraging us throughout,” he said.

After the series against Ireland and England, Gautam Gambhir took a short break. As a result, VVS Laxman served as the team’s interim head coach for the T20 series against Zimbabwe.
