Chennai: On the occasion of Bhagwan Guru Ravidas Maharaj’s 650th birth anniversary, sacred vessels were brought from Kashi to Tamil Nadu and handed over to BJP state president Nainar Nagendran.
Bhagwan Guru Ravidas Maharaj taught that “people should not be divided on the basis of birth; everyone is a child of God.” His 650th birth anniversary will be celebrated on Feb. 20 next year.
In connection with this, from July 29 last year until Feb. 20, 2027, birth anniversary celebrations will be held across India by government and spiritual organizations.
In that way, sacred kalashas were brought from Kasi, where he was born, to the Hindi Prachar Sabha in T. Nagar. Later, the sacred kalashas were taken in a procession yesterday to the Tamil Nadu BJP office.
State president Nainar Nagendran received them. Then, he handed over the kalashas to district presidents and office-bearers so that they could be taken across Tamil Nadu.
Regarding this, Nainar Nagendran said on the X platform, ‘‘These sacred kalashas will be taken to all the districts in Tamil Nadu. Arrangements have been made to spread the teachings of Bhagwan Guru Ravidasji among the people.''
