The Tamil Nadu government has issued a government order stating that Rs. 288 crore has been allocated to tackle the impact of drought.
Funds have been allocated for works including the installation of borewells, renovation of wells, and restoration of irrigation canals.
Rs. 58.55 crore has been allocated to the Drinking Water and Drainage Board, Rs. 36.65 crore to the Rural Development Department, Rs. 96.41 crore to the Town Panchayat Department, and Rs. 97.36 crore to the Municipal Administration Department.
