Ready to explain how the NEET question paper is prepared: Central government argues in the Supreme Court

The Central government told the Supreme Court on Monday that it is prepared to explain the procedure, from printing the NEET question paper to distributing it to students in the examination hall. The Central government also said it would file this as an affidavit.

Several petitions were filed in the Supreme Court seeking enhanced multi-layer security to prevent leaks of the NEET question paper. This petition was heard on Monday by a bench of Supreme Court judges B.S. Narasimha and Alok Aradhe.

At that time, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing on behalf of the Central Government, said, “We are prepared to explain all the procedures, from printing the NEET question paper to distributing it to the students. I recommend that the next hearing on this matter be conducted on Thursday or Friday, giving sufficient time.” Accepting this, the bench of judges adjourned the next hearing to Thursday.

Earlier, during the hearing held on July 24 regarding this matter, the Supreme Court said it was closely monitoring measures against the NEET question paper leak. Following that, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court on July 27. At that time, the Central Government explained about the new task force headed by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, which has been formed to recommend reforms to be implemented in examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

To enhance security services... Following the NEET question paper leak controversy, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited tenders worth Rs. 7.5 crore to improve security services.

The NTA has taken this step with the aim of intensifying 24-hour security at its headquarters on Minto Road in New Delhi and its regional offices in Okhla.

It is stated in the tender document regarding this: It is planned to strengthen the security of NDA officials, visitors, properties, premises, documents, important items, machine rooms, critical infrastructure, and similar assets. For this purpose, a tender is being invited for a two-year contract worth Rs. 7.5 crore. The contract may be extended for another 2 years in accordance with the rules.

Bids can be submitted until 3 p.m. on August 17. The tender for printing work closes on August 20. Those seeking the tender must deposit Rs. 15 lakh. It was stated that the tenders will be evaluated based on a quality-and-price selection method.

Following allegations that the question paper for this year’s NEET exam, held on May 3, had been leaked, the NTA announced on May 12 that the exam would be canceled. A re-exam was conducted on June 21.

நிகழாண்டு மே 3-ஆம் தேதி நடைபெற்ற நீட் தோ்வின் வினாத்தாள் கசிந்ததாக எழுந்த குற்றச்சாட்டையடுத்து, அந்தத் தோ்வை ரத்து செய்வதாக என்டிஏ மே 12-ஆம் தேதி அறிவித்தது. ஜூன் 21-ஆம் தேதி மறுதோ்வு நடத்தப்பட்டது.
