Chennai: Rs. 47,240 crore has been allocated for pensions and retirement benefits.

A new medical insurance scheme has been introduced for government employees, their eligible family members, pensioners and their spouses, and family pensioners for a five-year period from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2031. Under this scheme, the basic insurance coverage has been increased from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 7.50 lakh. The insurance coverage for specified illnesses has been increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh.

The lump-sum financial assistance for employees for rare and specific diseases has been increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh. Facilities have been created for treatment through 1,535 approved private hospitals and government medical institutions across Tamil Nadu. An allocation of Rs. 838 crore is being made to implement this insurance scheme. In these revised budget estimates, Rs. 47,240 crore is being allocated for pensions and retirement benefits.

For the judiciary, Rs. 2,486 crore will be allocated. Action will be taken to establish an integrated court complex with 160 courts on Broadway in Chennai at a cost of Rs. 1,375 crore. An allocation of Rs. 10 crore is being made for preliminary work for this. In these revised budget estimates, Rs. 2,486 crore is allocated to the Department of Justice Administration. நீதித்துறைக்கு ரூ.2,486 கோடி சென்னை பிராட்வேயில் ரூ.1,375 கோடியில் 160 நீதிமன்றங்களுடன் ஒருங்கிணைந்த நீதிமன்ற வளாகம் அமைக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும். இதற் கான முன்நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு ரூ.10 கோடி நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்படுகிறது. இந்தத் திருத்த வரவு-செலவுத் திட்ட மதிப்பீடுகளில் நீதி நிர்வாகத் துறைக்கு ரூ.2,486 கோடி ஒதுக்கப்படுகிறது.இவ்வாறு அதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
