Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized in a meeting with BJP MPs that Parliament should function smoothly without any disruptions.
During parliamentary sessions, it is customary for Prime Minister Modi to interact with a group of BJP MPs. With the aim of giving MPs an opportunity to speak directly with him, Prime Minister Modi has been holding this breakfast meeting for many years.
During the ongoing monsoon session, Prime Minister Modi interacted at a breakfast meeting on Wednesday morning with 37 BJP MPs. Newly elected MPs, including BJP national president Nitin Nabin, national general secretary Tarun Chugh, and MPs who recently joined the BJP from the Aam Aadmi Party — Swati Maliwal, Raghav Chadha, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak, and Vikramjit Singh Sahney — took part.
Speaking to them, Prime Minister Modi shared his experiences from public life and also offered guidance on how to participate actively in parliamentary proceedings.
He emphasized that “Parliament should function smoothly without any disruptions,” and advised that “MPs should spend at least 1–2 hours every day in the Parliament library. Along with working with young people in their constituencies, they should implement local development projects with a focus on youth and sports activities,” informed sources said.
It is noteworthy that in the current monsoon session, which began on July 20, proceedings have been continuously disrupted by various issues, including the NEET matter and student protests.
