Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said that there is no plan to blend ethanol with aviation fuel.
Earlier, Delhi former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal said that the central government was planning to blend ethanol with aviation fuel.
In this context, in a post on the ‘X’ website issued by Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to deny this, he said, ‘The Central Government has no plan to mix ethanol with aviation fuel. The information being circulated in this regard is completely false. Some people are continuously spreading this information in an attempt to create unnecessary panic and confusion among air passengers. The Central Government continues to give priority to the welfare of passengers.
He said that the same standard of aviation fuel used for aircraft internationally, as decided by the International Air Transport Association, is also being used in India.
