Subhadeep Ghosh has been appointed as the new fielding coach of the Indian cricket team. D. Dilip, who had been serving earlier, has been removed after his contract ended.

Ryan ten Doeschate had been working as the assistant coach of the Indian team, and Dilip as the fielding coach. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia had recently stated that the BCCI contracts of both of them had ended and that their contracts would not be extended.

In this situation, Subhadeep Ghosh (57 years old) has been appointed as the new fielding coach of the Indian team. Hailing from Assam, he had been serving as the fielding coach of the Indian women’s team.

Subhadeep Ghosh played a key role in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2022 and the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. In addition, he has served as a coach for India A and the Assam men’s senior team.

A right-handed batter, he has played 17 first-class matches. He has also played in many List A and Railway matches.

Dilip was in charge of the Indian team from 2021 through the 2025 Border-Gavaskar series. Later, his contract was extended for one year.

Ryan ten Doeschate, who was the assistant coach, joined the KKR team. It is also noteworthy that it has not yet been confirmed what Dilip will do.
