As of 4 PM today (Aug. 6), the water level of the Mettur Dam rose to 76.18 feet.
The inflow of water into the Mettur Dam has increased to 19,264 cubic feet per second. Water is being released from the dam at the rate of 1,500 cubic feet per second for drinking water needs.
Due to the surplus inflow from Kabini, the water level of the Mettur Dam, which was 75.64 feet this morning, rose to 76.18 feet by 4 PM.
The water storage in the Mettur Dam stands at 38.25 TMC.
