Measures to strengthen the National Testing Agency: Union Education Minister’s consultation

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi held consultations with senior officials on measures to strengthen the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts various major examinations.

The NTA conducts several important examinations, including the NEET-UG, CUET (UG, PG), and JEE Main. Recently, in the wake of the student-led series of protests under the banner of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) condemning the question paper leak in the NEET-UG examination, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from the post of Education Minister on July 26. Following this, Pralhad Joshi took charge as the new Education Minister.

The opposition parties have been insisting that the National Testing Agency should be dismantled and a new, stronger body should be established.

In this context, in New Delhi, Minister Pralhad Joshi held high-level consultations on Sunday with senior officials, including the Secretary of the Union Education Department.

Pralhad Joshi noted in an X post that there was an extensive discussion on the steps needed to structurally improve the National Testing Agency, streamline examination procedures, and make the agency more accountable to students.

He has also said that the central government continues to focus on building a dynamic, transparent, and trustworthy examination system that can serve every student.

தேசிய தோ்வு முகமையைக் கலைத்துவிட்டு, புதிய வலுவான அமைப்பை ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்று எதிா்க்கட்சிகள் வலியுறுத்தி வருகின்றன.

இந்தச் சூழலில், புது தில்லியில் மத்திய கல்வித் துறை செயலா் உள்பட உயரதிகாரிகளுடன் அமைச்சா் பிரல்ஹாத் ஜோஷி ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை உயா்நிலை ஆலோசனை மேற்கொண்டாா்.

தேசிய தோ்வு முகமையை அமைப்பு ரீதியாக மேம்படுத்தவும், தோ்வு நடைமுறைகளை நெறிப்படுத்தவும், மாணவா்களுக்கு மேலும் பொறுப்புடையதாக இந்த முகமையை மாற்றவும் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து விரிவாக விவாதிக்கப்பட்டதாக, எக்ஸ் பதிவில் பிரல்ஹாத் ஜோஷி குறிப்பிட்டாா்.

ஒவ்வொரு மாணவருக்கும் சேவையாற்றக் கூடிய துடிப்பான, வெளிப்படையான, நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய தோ்வு அமைப்புமுறையை கட்டமைக்க மத்திய அரசு தொடா்ந்து கவனம் செலுத்துவதாகவும் அவா் கூறியுள்ளாா்.
