DMK leader M.K. Stalin today congratulated Prashant Kishor, who won the by-election in Bihar.
By-elections were held on July 30 for the Manjalpur constituency in Gujarat, the Dhadia constituency in Madhya Pradesh, and the Bankipur constituency in Bihar, and the vote count took place today (August 3).
In this by-election, Prashant Kishor, the leader of the Jan Suraaj Party, who contested from the Bankipur constituency, won with 64,117 votes, defeating his BJP rival Neeraj Kumar by about 19,000 votes.
Congratulating Prashant Kishor, M.K. Stalin posted on his X page:
Congratulations to Jan Suraaj Party leader Prashant Kishor on the party’s resounding victory in the Bhangipur by-election. This is Jan Suraaj Party’s first electoral win. I wish him success in his service to the people of the Bhangipur constituency and the people of Bihar, M.K. Stalin said.
Earlier, speaking to reporters, Prashant Kishor said, “My victory in the Bihar by-election is a message to the BJP leadership,” which is noteworthy.
