Police have arranged lunch for opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin at the Viluppuram police station.
During the DMK protest, Tamil Nadu opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, was booked by Thanjavur police under nine sections for allegedly making defamatory remarks about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and women, and was arrested this morning.
Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was arrested at his Neelankarai residence in Chennai, is being taken to Thanjavur in a police vehicle.
As Udhayanidhi Stalin was being taken along the East Coast Road, DMK functionaries tried to give him food near Acharapakkam.
However, the police refused, saying that outside food should not be provided while he was being taken after arrest.
In this situation, former minister Ma. Subramanian, who is traveling with him in the police vehicle, has alleged that the police are refusing to give food to Udhayanidhi Stalin and are not even allowing him to relieve himself.
Following this, the police provided lunch to Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was taken to the Olakkur police station in Villupuram district.
