New Delhi: In the first quarter ended June 30, JK Paper’s consolidated net profit rose 63% to Rs. 136.27 crore, driven by higher sales volume and improved product mix. It had stood at Rs. 83.75 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
The company’s consolidated revenue from operations in the first quarter was Rs. 1,998.67 crore. In the same period last year, it was Rs. 1,771.78 crore.
The company’s total expenditure in the quarter under review stood at Rs. 1,736.03 crore, compared with Rs. 1,567.55 crore in the same period last year.
Despite the challenges in the paper and board market, higher sales volumes and an improved product mix compared with the previous period led to better performance in the current quarter, said Harsh Pati, chairman and managing director of JK Paper.
Meanwhile, the company’s packaging conversion business is also performing well in terms of revenue and profit.
