Popular film actor Dhanush is taking steps to strengthen his fan clubs constituency-wise and increase the number of members.
As a first step, efforts have begun in Coimbatore to increase membership in the Dhanush fan club.
In this regard, a statement issued by Subramania Shiva, president of the All India Head Dhanush Friends Welfare Association, said, “In Coimbatore district, welfare movements should be started constituency-wise and membership should be increased. Let us all unite and work in the leader’s path.”
This is being seen as a prelude to Dhanush entering politics. It is also said that Dhanush may begin his political journey by targeting Coimbatore.
Speaking to Dhanush fans about this, “At present, district-level associations are functioning in 55 districts across Tamil Nadu. Through these, activities such as providing welfare assistance, donating blood, serving free meals, and offering educational and medical scholarships are being carried out.
’There are more fans in Coimbatore’
Compared to other districts, Coimbatore has a larger number of fans for Dhanush. Across the district, there are more than 5,000 registered fans. Recently, when Dhanush came to Coimbatore for an event, more than 40,000 people turned up to see him. Membership enrollment has been intensified to further strengthen an already strong area.
Actor Vijay has put an end to the 59-year rule of Dravidian parties. If actor Rajinikanth had entered politics, this could have happened much earlier. Today, there are no charismatic leaders in the DMK or AIADMK who can attract the people.

Dhanush in Kamal Haasan style?
A question has arisen as to whether Dhanush is going to enter politics centered on Coimbatore, like actors Kamal Haasan and Annamalai. Speaking to us about this, political commentator and writer R. Murugavel said, “The AIADMK, which was strong in the Kongu region, including Coimbatore, has now weakened. The DMK and TVK have not been able to capture that space.
With Annamalai’s exit, the BJP has also weakened. They are trying to seize the vacuum created by this. In Chennai, even many small parties are strong. TVK has already established a strong foothold there. But outside Chennai, the area with the most industries, money, power, and political influence is Coimbatore. Moreover, since there would not be much competition from political parties, new parties are targeting Coimbatore,” he said.
We asked district leader Shankar for clarification on this. “Fan clubs have already existed for 20 years. We are forming new clubs for registrations and to add new members. Nothing else. This is not a prelude to politics. We will act in accordance with whatever decision the leadership takes,” he said.
